Live from the dancefloor:
Jaytech !!!!!!
This guy needs more than an hour. Holy fuck delta is such a hooj choon.
Looks like the a and b are on now. Starting off nicely, sweet vocals. Wishing I was on the dancefloor and not in a massive coatcheck line up.
Awh yeah, it begins....
So many of you lovely people on the floor tonight.

Awesome night.
Above & Beyond played everything I wanted to hear.
No one on Earth
Home
Satellite
Can't sleep
On a Good Day
etc.
very crowded, but amazing vibe!
Love those guys, CAN'T FOR THEIR NEW ALBUM lol.

Great Night!!
A lil too much self promo but great fun and great songs. Haha, loved singing along.
Crowd was amazing, and A&B seemed to have a fun time as well. They played till 4:30 ish.
Good start to the year...March 21st is next.
Just got back.
Hate to be the debbie downer of the thread but.. i re-realized why i havent been to the guv in a year and a half.
Place was fucking packed with people standing on the dancefloor. I felt like i was being swarmed by a school of salmon moving all over the place.
Loved Jaytech, and it appeared that Jaytech loved us, as he looked like he was super stoked to be playing here. Give this guy a headline, and a different venue.
Stuck around for a bit of A&B set but decided that being perpetually pushed and sweat smeared wasn't fun. Made a bee line to the Gallery with Cale and his buddy where Joee Cons + Manzone & Strong were ripping it up with some proper techno-minimal. There was also space to dance which was decent.
Made a couple trips back to A&B, but unfortunately i think im done with trance. It doesnt do it for me.. unless its SVD, or something tech trancey.
I bumped into a few TA's but didnt spend enough time in the main room to see the folks i knew.
I think im gonna stick to the smaller events from now on.
cheers
Aaron.
Yeah I would give this night an 8/10. It wasn't as packed as I was anticipating, but still really busy in the main room. Jaytech was crazy. I wish he could have played longer. When he played Sidesmokers - Sugar Beats that was exactly what I wanted to hear at the moment. Gallery was nice for the time I spent in there with some nice minimal/tech I heard a Kreon - Jauce transition to SIS - Standing which was pretty hot. Oh an A&B was not bad at all either, but I would've probably have liked Jaytech rocking the main room for a couple more hours

I missed these great choons when I left. grrrrr
What time did these go on?
Guess that means no more tracklisting for the entire set now?
Wow. Where did you party? Underneath the stairs perhaps? There was a damn good contingent front & centre as always.
Yep... I got all the tunes I wanted to hear.
One of the non-musical highlights of the night for me was watching Coxx on that speaker column, slapping the shit out of the speaker on beat so loud that I could hear it over music lol. The rest involved the ever hilarious skasians.
Great times all around.
Nope...I was there
Saw a lot of peeps...but just wished the turnout would of been like before
180 -300 TA's would of made this night f*n insane!!!!!

Was a good night with a good vibe up until 3am.
Jaytech did lay down some good tunes and kept a good flow for the short time he was on.
Above and Beyond were allright, but probably should have been a little better than allright based on some of the tunes being played on anjunabeats right now. Lots of potential good club tunes.
Heard both Super 8 and tab tunes i liked, didnt hear the majority I was looking for.
After 3, they opened up the cheese and played every single one of their old vocal tunes. I have a HUGE problem with dj's who do that. Heard these damn christmas singalongs 1000 times over now, ruins a set when you stuff so damn many of them in. Play a couple, no problem, not each one of them almost back to back. For the record they were: cant sleep, noone on earth, good for me, touch me (not theirs but cant stand it), far from in love, satelite, alone tonight, surrender, breaking ties, sirens of the sea.
A sad discography is what it was.
Anyhow I realize some people are there for that, I guess it is better to have them slapped together at the end so you can escape if need be.
Overall a pretty fun night, ended a little sour for my liking.
Good meeting a few new faces out there.

night was just ok for me. Came in and went to the acid lounge where Yohan was already ripping it up. Seeing jaytech was pretty cool. I didnt really know what to expect but he did a good job with the crowd. He played some sweet tunes and got me pumped for a&b. Went back into the acid lounge to see berry set but I guess he had a problem with people breaking into his car (sorry to hear that dude) so he wasnt there. We went back into the main room... Could have been that I wasnt up to the front as much as I wanted to be but the crowd was the most rude I have ever seen. Pushing was at a super high, and was very hard to get into the set. We finally got to a spot that we were not getting harassed every 5th of a second, and started to get into the killer tracks a&b were playing. Only song I wish they played that didnt was anjunabeats - volume 1 (above and beyond remix) but I guess they cant play them all. Fuck those guys get into it! They were making the dj booth bounce up ad down as well as the speakers. We left right after a&b because we couldnt handle the pushing and pulling anymore. It was nice to catch up with a few of you and I cant wait till next week in the purple room "Bringing Trance Back To The Purple Room!!!"
crowd 3/10
jaytech 7/10
a&b 8/10

Was not sure what to expect first time seing him i have to say that he played awesome
some tracks he played which i had no idea what they were called Lol.. Which was good bc it was something
new to here. His mixing was not bad at all right on cue in my book he got the crowd pumped for A&B which was
fantastic i new i was up for a kick ass nite. I must say for Jaytech to play for an hour OMG
he was on fire not much he could play in that 1 hour but a killer set the next time i think the guv
should have Anjunabeats nite Super8 and Tab Jaytech or Andy Moor and of course Above and Beyond
holy shit just thinking about this line up what a nite it will be

Above and Beyond
I been dying to see them since miami OMG was so glad they were back at the guv
it may have not been there best set but i enjoyed it soo much maybe bc it was my bday party and
everyone was there and having a good time they played all my fav. OMFG

the place just whent absolutely crazzzy as for me i have in heaven one of the best
classics tunes of all time.. I was sooo surprised when they played Katana In Silence
(Txitxarro Mix)
This track brought back memories
OMG was luving it then they played there older tunes which i was ok with the only old track i was

good night overall
awesome seeing some familiar faces (Spam!
) and regular suspects
crowd was probably the worst I've seen in a while - nothing new there but still a bit of a meh factor.. being surrounded by friends reaaally helped!
Jaytech played a solid set, def a great opener, would be nice to hear him for more then an hour sometime soon.. A&B started off nice and hard (surprise right there!).. Super8 & Tab - Electra and Can't Sleep = 2 tunes of the night for me!
till next time!
- Funky.
Jaytech was freakin amazing! I lost my shit when he played 'Villa Nova'.
I agree with some of the comments above with it being too full. I don't go to Guv very often for that very reason. I wound up leaving about an hour into A&B's set because the place was just -too- crowded.
showed up a bit later. crowd had evidently thinned a bit based on other people's comments - still packed but comfortably so. A&B played some good tunes, was half-cut already so it blurred but a few hours on the floor and then home. 6.5/10 - can't complain, nothing mind-blowing.
Overall good night
Jaytech completely surprised me and played an amazing set. It was nice to finally hear some proper trance.
Above and Beyond were pretty good as well...played some great classics (brought back memories) mixed in with some new stuff.
Also, I enjoyed part of Jake Chec's set as well.
There were way too many people though but it started to loosen up around 4 which was good.
It was nice to meet some TA's I've never met before...
8/10
looking forward to next week for JOOF and CL
