Judge Jules - Laid Bare
So, I'm probably about to lose all credibility here but...
I kind of dig this tune, even if it is a poorly produced, cheesed out commercial ploy. And even tho Judge Jules is kind of a pretentious prick that can't beatmatch his way out of a paper bag... he definitely is a crowd pleaser... and kind of a dork. I saw him at WMC a while back and I enjoyed his set, he played this out too...
Jules is way different now than he was a few years back, but this tracks pretty ok. The trumpet mix is pretty cool, got a funk meets trance feel...
Anyone else agree? Or not... I'm bored, waiting for a plane out of Denver and its cold as FUCK in in this biatch... fuckin 12 degrees outside...
I dunno what's worst. The disastrous trumpet, the "Judge Jules" vocal samples in the track or the fact that most of the crowd isn't even dancing. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fucking ROFLed at that
Indeed.
my god how much E did he took?

I might be biased because I'm a friend of his (not trying to namedrop) but I never understood where he got that reputation that he was a stuck-up/pretentious guy. Even before we became friends, the first couple times I met him, he could not have been nicer, making conversation more than "hi how are you?" The second time I talked to him, he set us up VIP at a club he was playing at and I didn't even ask him to do it.
one guy once got on stage and attacked jules , and no suprise either.Deadmau5 watch out ,

I don't mind the trumpet bit, but the rest of it is fucking horrible.
I think when Jules is on form, hes on form. He can really get a crowd going with his tune selection. This though.. Happens very rarely.
He turned up at a bar near me, Bullit in a tiny place called Tamworth, he was 2 hours late. And there were 5 people in the bar, which were all my mates, fairplay to him, he played a set to 5 of them, and they said he was a top bloke. Likewise though I have heard contrasting views..
That track reminds me of Saxuality, a track he done under is hi-gate label. Don't think its to bad really.
omg omg omg, someone freezeframe 0:35 in the clip, his face when he comes back to the booth. make a good caption over it or something.
holy horseshit batman
I've always found him to be an extremely nice guy.
The trumpet sample works better than I thought it would. I think that that sample could actually be the basis for a really interesting track.

I like his T - shirt.
I love the trumpet sections of the track.
The orignal mix sucks and the rest of the track sounds like his old collabs with paul masterson, that kinda tough trance from 2000-2002.
