Markus schulz style bassline, need help¡¡¡
Hey guys, what´s up, i´ve been working on some new production, and i feel it needs kind off like an acid, agressive bassline, kind off like markus schulz bassline idea.
Now i know for sure, he uses some noise, a vintage warmer and a lot of drive, but i can´t figure it out...
any help would be really appreciate it
I´ve attached a sample so you could get the idea...
what do u mean attached a sample?
I'm sorry, man, but the attachments are not allowed here,
what I would guess by your description is that it's just a simple saw (as usual) possibly a bit detuned, CamelPhat or something for distortion, with an amazing ammount of compression and then just some EQ to keep it from running into your leads...
These days many sounds you hear are very simple but effectively layered and working together with the bassline/drums/leads...
oh, i´m sorry i didn´t knew about the sample thing, i guess i´ll keep trying, but my sample is about The new world (Coldharbour remix), by markus schulz, i love that bassline style... but i´ve been trying for weeks to make it, and i can´t figure it out, so in desperate need
if someone knows how to, please make a tutorial or just a few tips cause im stuck with what i am currently working on
thanks in advance
here's a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMTK8OiUWIg youtube link for anyone interested to help
oh that's in Prague I think! I've been there!
to me it sounds like a simple saw bass...V-Station bass 8 preset might be a good base...plus the tips above
it might be the bongos playing with it that mislead you
thanks guys, i´m going to keep working this out, now i know he uses drive an a vintage warmer a lot cause i´ve watch an interview and he mention it, my guessing is saw, with distortion and a warmer, plus a really sub bassline, and the kick is really dry with not low freq end, and maybe the leads all combined gives that feeling.
I love that coldharbour style really dark and progressive
let´s keep guessing lol, and thank you guys at leats i have some new ideas to work with
could you post the link to the interview where he mentions this? thanks =p
there it goes the interview
, keep guessing guys¡ :P
