Last year the nightlife community responded to our call with overwhelming support, turning out in record numbers to vote for their favorite DJs as Miguel Migs, Mark Farina and David Harness took top honers. Rounding off the Top10 were Kaskade, Bassnectar, Taj, Rooz, An-Tn-Nae, Icon and Syd Gris. Your favorite DJs played along with a great mix of invited honoree Dreamteamers to a sold out show at Club 1015 Folsom on March 7th.
All DJs listed here have already been nominated by YOU, the community, during our previous Six years running the poll. So once again we're diving straight into the voting process.
We are not currently accepting additional names for the poll. The exception being if we receive over 100 petitions requesting a name be added. For a DJ to qualify for this poll, he/she must: 1) reside in the Bay Area, and 2) play out at least semi-regularly (no bedroom DJs).
Please don't jump on our case if you find outdated names that have moved away from the Bay Area or are no longer playing. It's impossible to keep track of 500+DJs we're good but we're not that good. To be on the safe side, we kept names on the list that we weren�t 100% sure about. However if you see a name that you are 100% sure should not be on this list then please let us know so we can look into it.
We also want to remind everyone that this poll is supposed to be a fun thing for the community, it�s not about who�s best, it�s about who�s your favorite! So have fun with this, It�s only a poll where you the community get to pick your lineup for the most fun-filled party of the year - scheduled in May 09'
Rules:
1. Each valid email address is permitted one vote. Let's find out who really are our community's favorite DJs, so keep it fair and clean.
2. To officially record your vote you will first need to validate your email address. Only votes from valid email accounts will be counted.
3. This Poll only applies to Bay Area residents. You will need to confirm your zip-code and city in order to verify your eligibility to vote.
4. This poll may not be ported or transferred over, in part or whole, to any other website.
Instructions:
Step 1 - Pick up to 5 DJs then click on the continue button at the bottom.
Step 2 - Fill out the short form and confirm and validate your email address and location.
Step 3 - Check your email inbox for a confirmation email then click the "Record Vote" link provided in email.
Step 4 - Once you've recorded your vote, you'll be taken to our confirmation page. Here you're given the opportunity to tell your friends to vote for your recommended favorite DJs. Plus you can check poll results.
Step 5 - Here you can view the current top 30 DJs. Results are updated every Tuesday, final results will be announced Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

I find it odd that not a single artist from the Dirtybird Crew didn't even hit Top 30.
2008 was a great year for their efforts from many dynamics: local events, production, music, residencies, tours, community involvement, etc
