Ripping audio from 5.1 DVD`s

Hi Guys,

I am trying to rip 5.1 from a dvd to get the middle channel (spoken word only) but seem to be failing miserably.

Anyone know how to do it?

I have been using DVDShrink to get the VOB files.
Then i have been using VOBrator to get the 5.1 audio stream.
Then Soft Encode to open all 6 streams then save the appropriate audio streams but i keep getting distorted audio files, nothing in them apart from noise and severe distortion.

Anyone who knows a good method to do this i would appreciate it.

if your computer have 5.1 output just put a minijack between the center/sub output and plug it into line-in plug, then record the L-channel i think is center when center and sub share stereocable. havent tried myself but it should work as long as your recording device is able to use the input when your dvd player is using the outputs, it might take control over everything i dont know.
