LADIES & GENTLEMEN... NEXUS IS BACK IN 2009

One year on, NEXUS IS BACK in 2009 to bring you the creme de la creme of prog-trance, tech-trance and uplifting trance whilst celebrating it's first birthday back where it all began!

It's been an awesome year so far Nexus was born, it rose and is continuing to rock-out with the clubbers of Melbourne and our dedicated team of DJ's and organisers. As we celebrate one year of fun, it's time to show those crazy Melbourne trance-heads why this is only the beginning!

Come join the Nexus residents James Brooke, Denham Jay, Jed and James Mac as we're joined by Substance superstar J-Slyde, Nexus tech-trance favourite guest Scott Bateman and Melbourne trance front-runner Trent McDermott to bash out a brilliant night of quality tunes with the friendliest crowd in town!

Drink specials will be running all night long plus a very special appearance of sextastic visuals by VJ Ruckus will satisfy the eyes whilst the ear's are expertly massaged with juicy tunes from 10pm til late!

Buff up the dancing shoes, slip a few notes in your wallet or purse, grab a mate and come show Nexus and it's crew what you're made of: rock-hard awesome brilliance with just a dash of rad!

So happy this party is turning 1 already. The crowd has always been one of the best I've played to. Nexus events have a wicked buzz and the sound system at Roxanne's is seriously awesome.

These days, there aren't too many DJs whose passion for the music they play is made so visible when they speak of their craft. How refreshing it is then to see someone like J-Slyde putting in his all - and then some - into every aspect of his obsession.

His musical tastes are quite broad, dabbling in all kinds of genres and surrounding himself with as much melodies of supreme quality as possible. And whilst his core influences and interests lean more to a proggy break beatish nature, when rummaging through J-Slyde's extensive record crate, you'll find everything from Progressive, Electro, House, Drum & Bass, Trip Hop, obviously Break beats, some oldschool Trance, and even a hint of the 80's if you look close enough.

Ultimately J's mixing abilities and tight-as-all-hell track selection have seen him grow into one of the cities most loved - and asked for - vinyl spinners. His ever increasing gig list has become enormously varied enabling him to specialize in many different types of electronic genres. Not content in being pinned down, he's constantly strived to offer something different to the crowd, and rather then playing to them, he plays for them � a quality that shines through in every performance.
