President's Day Weekend EndUp Report

I'm a east coaster that tries to make it out to the bay area a few times a year to hang out. I always meet a lot of cool people in CA. The EndUp has long been my favorite club as I enjoy underground tech/tech house. I spent most of Sunday and Monday at the club and very sad to report that the music totally sucked. They were playing mashups of funky house and popular dance music. I've never heard this junk at the EndUp. There was a stint from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday evening that was well done, but that was it.

Anyone else have a similar experience? I hope this club isn't loosing the magic.

sounds like you went to monday mash, which i've never personally been to, but i agree... underground tech house/techno is far superior to funky house which is far superior pop mashup crap. the club is and will forever be known for its amazing tech house/techno, but they do switch it up throughout the week. next time plan around the 'kontrol' monthly, 'phonic' weeklies and sometimes 'the show' and 't-dance'. if you planned around the sf calendar, you would have had a blast at the triple crown on sunday and the starlight room on monday. next time...
