Pryda - Animal Sounds Like Cafe Del Mar?

Am I the only one who thinks the melodies sound quite similar?

they sound similar at brief moments, but cafe del mar wasn't anything that sophisticated in terms of melody, it's really really simple

and in my opinion, that animal track is god awful, mega whiney

Sounds like shit.

That bored me, like practically everything Prydz makes.

Probably has awesome mixing, though -- can't tell from the YouTube version. The mixing is the main thing that counts in a track anyway, because then it really goes off in a club.

prydz is incredibly boring as a producer. His tracks sound great in a 30 second clip but they are so middle of the road I just can't listen for longer than that

The note sequencing (the way the melody is played) is the same, or at least similar, and at one point there is a succession of notes which may be the same as a section in the Cafe Del Mar-melody. That said it doesn't "sound like" Cafe Del Mar and i wouldn't have thought of it if i didn't read it here, although i'm familiar with the tune.

and cafe del mar = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvZQOYzycVA

Was just my immediate reaction upon hearing it . On another note, I think his other track in this release, "Loaded" is going to be real club banger.

knowing it sounded like cafe del mar made me expect the chord change ,which never came!

I was in suspense up until about 2.30 when an unfortunate accident caused me to switch it off.

Yep I heard a little Cafe Del Mar in it upon first listen as well.

listening to this actually makes me more confident in my own musical production.

This is one of those tracks upon which my girlfriend has been given explicit instruction to kill me, should I make one that sounds like it.

Sounds like Cafe del Mar?

If it had been marred in a wood-chipper and then heated to make a creosote distillation, it sounds exactly like Cafe del Mar!

Well most Pryda tunes sound shit when you listen at home. They work well with a crowd tho.
