Can anyone comment on how this party was last year or if its worth missing some bigger events for this?

You can read about this party in last years WMC forum. To sum it up, in my opinion, and many others, it was one of, if not THE greatest set in the history of EDM. After last year, this is not to be missed.

I can only hope this year comes close.

i think i may go to sunday school....check out venue...go to digweed at 12...stay till2-3 and then circoloco....then die at sunday school

Digweed delivers every year. Last year was surely one of the best sets I have heard him play. I have heard him play dozens of times either at Firestone, Simons, Zen, 1150, Space, Pawn Shop to name most of them.

Someone else in our group last year was in his mid twenties and never heard John play at Simons or Firestone back in the mid and late 90s. He has heard a lot of sets however and he was floored by it saying it was the best he has ever heard.

On one hand it was a shame John didn't record it last year however for those that were there the memories of that night will last until death I am sure.

Agreed.. Last year was one of the best parties ive ever been to at conference.. the last 3 hours were insane.. I don't think im gonna go this year just because I know it wouldn't be the same.. it just cant..

That's gonna be awesome, man. But honestly, what he played that night last year was something on another level. Even his legendary set at Bedrock in London just a few weeks before on Easter weekend wasn't anything like what he played at Vagabond. So, I dunno, I mean, yes, there's a chance it'll be the same as he plays on the 11th, but if he wants to try to 1up last year, we may tossed into a whole new "Digweed Vortex �"

I talked to at least half a dozen WMC vets who I know that were at that party, and they all pretty much agreed it was the best party musically they had ever been to. I mean there's been better venues and better crowds probably, but just from a musical stand-point, I don't think I'll ever hear anything like that again.

I also should say I liked the venue (minus the bathroom situation, but we found a workaround). Cool atmosphere, awesome staff, and the best bar in WMC Miami. Didn't take me more than a few seconds to get a drink, and they were all priced around $8...can't beat that.
