Places to practice mixing around ATL?
I'm currently a few states away from my CDJs + mixer by staying here. Is there a place that I can go to get some practice mixing done in ATL, either commercially (rentals?) or privately (house party LOL)?
Just get really drunk at a show and tackle the dj. If you're good you could probably mix about three or four tracks in while everyone's scrambling.
No equipment needed to practice jesus pose
Guitar Center. They'll let you use their DJ equipment for as long as you like. I've worn out my welcome there countless times. :P
Yeah, when GC has their stuff hooked up, they actually love you going in there and showing off. lol
come to LA.
Javier and I have, combined, 2 x CDJ 1000, 2 x CDJ 800, DJM800, EFX 1000, 2 x MK5's, 2 x Numarks, and KRK RP5's + 10" Sub
Not sure if it's helpful, but there is a dj lab in Burlington, Vermont. I know, it's "cow country" but I tell you the city is an incubator for newbie djs. Presently, various House and yellow-page djs are popular there. The real deal House djs I believe come up from NYC. BUT BURLINGTON NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED TO TRANCE!!!!
That's be awesome, but its a bit of a drive for me, LOL
