I got my gig..

Well i think i finaly made it. I went down town only planing to spin a short set towards the end of the night, ends up i got to spin a 5hr set. The club owners managers and promoters were all soo impressed that the asked me to come every week. And some promoter gave me his card asking me if he could book me at another club. Not to mention he payed for me and my 3 friends bar tab which was well over $160.00. The crowd realy seemed to enjoy my harder stuff cosmic gate marco v etc ...oh and they loved how i ended it i played 3 plump djs tracks in a row, was awesome, had girls dancing on the speakers and everything.

Better be well over that 160 dollar figure otherwise they're making mad money over you and pretty much screwing you over

no way am i gonna become pro school is my number 1 concern right now cuzz if i dont succeed djing what do i have to fall back on? Not to mention im sorry to say i cant see myself djing post 40 nor do i realy wannna live my life constantly on the road lately ive been driving 40min to gigs on weekends. that and going to school is putting a lot of stress on me.. not to mention the pay isnt great right now im barely able to afford the constant supply of new vinyl(hip hop djs have it great all the crowds wanna hear is whats played on the radio.) where as trance/prog/house you gotta have the latest and greatest.

cause if you didn't gosh they are gonna make loads of money on your back ...

oh and by the way no, I'm not saying you should make mad money like pro djs in the such as tiesto or what not hahahahha they make like over 5 000 bucks a night easy and even moreeeeee

if you start being a regular at that club and they even post your name on their flyers etc, well they better then start paying you decently ......

Buy a cheap sound card that has a line in feature. Get a rca to 1/4 headphone adapter and get soundforge and boom u can record..
