Does anyone know how to get around proxies...

... I'm not just talking about sites being blocked....

I wanna listen to a radio station that is only avaialble in UK. Is there some proxy site and go to which will fool it into thinking I have UK proxy address?

Same goes for for TV re-runs etc in other countries (US, Australia etc).

Thanks in advance

the problem is that most proxies are slow, so even if you get one you still wouldnt be able to use to watch/hear streaming content

+1

For beatport, the key is to having a billing address in the country that the track is limited to. Has nothing to do with your actual connection.

Not sure about that, when I log in to Beatport from work I use the company's Polish proxy server (really weak IT security there ), and whenever i add tracks to my crate I get taxes added. When I do it normally from home, I don't.

That is how I have been able to get around the territory restrictions. Although the last track I wanted from outside the US wasn't available in the UK either. Maybe it is dependent on country of origin for the connection itself, I dunno for sure.
