Haven't listened to this yet, but I uploaded it to my webspace so you have a more permanent storage solution (not to mention, some work filters block megaupload sites):

Hi Woscar !
It really sounds a great list of tracks.
I've listen almost all of them.

Posted by Seppuku on Mar-03-2009 06:21:

Just finished listening. I especially liked the beginning, some nice deep stuff there. I thought you picked up the pace at just the right time, and the mixing and flow was spot on. Didn't really like the vocal track at the end, but other than that, nice job.

Oscar, this is a fucking nice set mate. So so so many nice tracks in there - You've obviously put some work into the selection

Seriously, keep it up man!

Really enjoyed this, Oscar. I really liked every track in there, especially the second part which gets noticeably quicker but does so at exactly the right pace. But I think I'll listen a second time to make moreinsightful comments which I'm sure is what you're looking for.

Hey buddy, finally got through this late last evening, but was too tired to give a review last night, so here goes.

Like Dark Light before this, the mixing and technical side of the mix is absolutely spot on. Mixing, volume control, EQ'ing are all great.

Now onto the musical side of this mix. In a few words: I LOVED IT! I really appreciate the musical transition you've made from Tones & Dark Light. I'm also moving away from that Anjunadeep style prog house sound, into a more refined Deep House & Low BPM Funk House. This mix really satisfied that for me. Tracks in this were top-notch (gotta love 'Strung Out' ), and they flowed great with one another. I personally haven't heard too many of these tracks myself, so the mix was very fresh. Great Job!

Really well done, man. You've come a long way in a short time. Keep it up!

TRAITOR

Nice set man! As for me, I'm still into a lot more of the energetic stuff at the moment, so this mix didn't jive with me as much as Dark Light. However, as I still like the deeper house too, I enjoyed the set.

No. Don't get me wrong, I still like tracks with energy (ala My Digital Enemy - Flamenco Loco), I'm just not really feeling the tracks anymore that are coming from producers I liked A LOT about a year ago.

Indeed, 2600/Night Drive/UrbanTorque are my favorite labels at the time. Always churning quality release after another. I'll give that page a look...do they stream your mixes or something?

Thanks indeed! I had one of those moments when you listen to a track and you know exactly what to do with it. How to mix it, where to play it...

Thanks for the listen and the comments. Glad you enjoyed it.
About the last track...did you felt it was out of place or was the track itself not your cup of tea?

Thanks Yohan. That is one of the things I've been working harder on, glad to hear it's noticeable

Thanks Sushi! I did take quite some time compiling tracks for this mix, I actually started last year almost immediately after posting Dark Light. Lots of great Deep House releases around that date

And once again, thanks for the hosting. You are the man! )

Awww...thanks a lot Chris! It really means a lot to me to get comments like these from someone who has heard all of the stuff I've put out before (my extensive 2 mix catalog, lol ).

Yeah, I know...it's been quite a change from the stuff I did before. I feel exactly the same way you do, it's not that I don't still enjoy that type of music but this deeper, sexier, more soulful stuff has totally won me over.

I know! I still like that style, but like I said, Deep House is where it's at for me. I feel really comfortable playing this stuff. Good to know you enjoyed it.

Overall, thanks to everyone for taking the time to listen. It's very much appreciated

Posted by Adam420 on Mar-04-2009 01:53:

Yea the site streams your sets and also leaves room for people to comment on them. The people there seem to be fans of the sound you've got in your set, that's why I especially thought it would be fitting you check it out. Also, since it's based in the UK, they also hold parties there featuring site members as DJs (among others, perhaps). And it's really easy to sign up and upload a set, and there's good stuff to listen to there as well.

Nice! Uploading right now

Posted by cmay119 on Mar-04-2009 02:47:

Yeah Oscar, you put it into better words than I did. I'm not trying to say I've abandoned Prog House, just that I'm taking a little vacation from it and trying to expand my horizons.

I didn't particularly care for the track, but the main thing was just that it kinda threw me off when it came in. Towards the end it seemed like you were building it into something really melodic/deep, but the last track just kinda killed my vibe. It didn't sound terrible, just not what I was expecting I guess. Still a great mix!
