Ahhh haven't done a longer mix in a while. Feels good to have some time to get a nice flow!
As for the title of this, I've always loved the image of a dark room with street and building lights coming through venetian blinds on a summer night, with trees rustling and distant highway sounds in the background.

Part 1 is music for fun, so just listen and enjoy some cool tracks. Has stuff from the 80s, soundtracks, nu-disco, indie, and more. Poneloya is total mind-fuckery when the bass comes in, btw.

Part 2 starts off with some deep progressive house. Building up throughout, but making sure to drop it down every once in a while. ;D
Near the end it's pretty banging progressive and finally gives a little cooldown at the end. This time, I also decided to add some mashups and light production elements to a couple of the tracks.

DLing both of them. Some people seem to be having issues with zshare, especially today, so I'll give you a perma link. Gimme a while though (maybe 12 hours? We'll see ) cos I'm about to go have dinner and may not check back tonight

Haha thanks dude! Dunno why zshare's been buggy (save for some people having it blocked.)
I'd start uploading it to a site now, but I don't have internet at home

Yeah, I apologize Kadomony, I was having problems downloading from zShare too, and forgot to report that to you.

I await your new link so I can finally listen to this. Those TL's look fantastic!

I just finished giving the second mix a listen and I definitely enjoyed. Nice summery vibe throughout, and the mixing and programming was pretty solid.

The first mix looks like a fun listen, I'll try to get to that tomorrow.

I just finished listen to the first mix.

I went into it not knowing exactly what to expect aside from a few tracks I knew. It turned out that the version of "Walking Machine" you used was completely different from the one I heard before on Adam Freeland's GU

The mixing was kinda loose on this one but given the whole vibe of the set and the type of music, it worked (just like on the Lovebirds Betalounge set).

One thing that I want to point out is that this is by far one of the funnest sets to listen to that I've ever had the pleasure of listening. It has this relaxed, "fuck it, we'll do it live" feeling which is awesome. I bet you had the time of your life recording it.

To be honest, I could have done without the 10 or so minute segment in the middle of glitchy, bleepy, bloopy stuff in the middle but other than that it was great man. So fun, so 80's, so funky, so fresh sounding. Really loved it Sam, well done.

Now on to part two!

Thanks a lot man
That's exactly what I was going for. I was debating even doing Part 1 since the tracks would be all over the place in terms of structure and mixing. Decided that mixing that way would be pretty cool though, since it's sort of an 80s style of mixing and it fit the tracks :P

That bleepy one is probably Cat on the Rain, had to put that in cause the little kitten sounds make me laugh every time I hear it.
