Reverb Better Than Reverb2?

What is a better soft reverb I could try? Not digging Reverb 2 and Classic Reverb much.

Have you tried any of the convolution reverbs? They're pretty versatile and can sound great, depending on the quality of the impulse responses that you're using. SIR1 is an excellent and FREE convolution reverb:

You can get some freebie impulse files from that same website, or just Google something like "free convolution impulse responses" and you'll find a lot more.

I've tried dozens of different reverbs and they all have their limited charm, but eventually I always come back to SIR.

You can find impulses from a lot of popular reverb boxes like the SRV-330, and the results are identical. It eats up CPU like Homer eats donuts, but almost every semiserious producer's got a quad core now, right?

no, im semiserious and still working on a pentium d from the 1700s.

For those of you who do use convolution reverbs, I just came across this link for a bunch of donationware impulses, including impulses from the legendary Lexicon PCM 70.

Haven't tried them myself yet, but plan on it this evening.
