Stop posting crap without your own opinion.

I don't see any rules that that say I have to post an opinion when I post a link. I'm just trying to get people informed without introducing my own bias. Comments like these and use of the words like "crap" really show how childish and immature some people are on this message board.

Then perhaps you haven't found the rules. Click on the link Krypton provided you, and you'll see that it is indeed a rule - this isn't the Associated Press news wire, this is a discussion sub-forum.

I'll post an opinion for you guys.

While I haven't read much about the budget, I am truly unhappy with a small, yet very harmful provision in the budget that provides for the intent to end the deferal of US taxes on income earned in foreign jurisdictions. If the administration actually take steps to end deferral US companies will be at an enormous disadvantage compared to our european and asian counterparts. The administration's thought process is that US corporations are exporting jobs because of the ability to defer taxes on income earned in a foreign jurisdiction. In reality, corporations don't make many operational decisions based on tax savings. In most cases, corporations relocate operations in a foreign jurisdiction (i) to take advantage of lower labor costs, (ii) to supply local markets, or (iii) to take advantage of other factors that result in lower production cost. At the end of the day, the likely result of this provision is an increase in the effective tax rate of US companies without any real increase in american jobs. Hopefully the adminstration wakes up and realizes that it is not beneficial to further handicap our industrial giants.
