Watchmen Movie tomorrow!

I did a remix of the original theme song for the trailer by Smashing Pumpkins, and I am giving it out!

I read the Graphic novel as a kid, quite enjoyed it. I'll watch it over the weekend for sure. Is it even coming out on IMAX?

Posted by R!CH on Mar-06-2009 08:15:

i wanna see this flick, but i'll wait a few weeks until the theaters are nice and empty. crowds at theaters are the ultimate lose.

Yes.

I don't usually see movies on release day (hate the crowds) but since a bunch of coworkers are going, I'll check it out tonight.

I hope we can see it this weekend, prob Sunday night to avoid the biggesst crowds of the weekend.

Aftering seeing The Dark Knight on IMAX and being BLOWN AWAY (and it was my 4tht ime seeing it), I have to see Watchmen on IMAX and nothing else. Down in LA through this weekend, but luckily there's an IMAX theatre not far from our hotel!!

I can't believe there's no online ticketing for this movie. Ridiculous.

Which theater you going to Dave?

sfgate review comparing watchmen to dark knight...

"On the strength of great scenes, one after the next, this audacious adaptation of a graphic novel achieves a psychological sophistication that "The Dark Knight" aimed for but didn't quite reach."

Let me guess, were the lines at the midnight screenings looking more or less like this?

I don't live anywhere yet. I am in Holiday Inn near LAX right now. IT's under renovation, but hey...paid less than $50/night (yay priceline!) and got upgraded to a King Exec room which is all suepr nice, so not complaining.

Looking for a place down here still, but it's just gotten a lot harder?

What do ya do for work Billy? Hiring?

I had not heard of this movie until the previews started coming out, and I went into it not expecting anything. That being said, I thought the movie was dope! It had the same type of gore similar to sin city, along with the same style of character development. There were great underlying themes touching upon human nature and the blending between good and evil. It wasn't a typical super-hero movie so don't expect to see anything like the xmen or spiderman series. It showed a darker, different side to crime fighting (similar to the dark knight) and also oozed a lot social criticism. The only problem i had with the movie was the placement of some of the songs as they kinda threw off the pace of the movie (although leonard cohen's 'hallelujah' during a love scene was pretty funny). Overall.. great visuals + CGI, pretty solid acting, and intriguing storyline.

God damn this movie was awesome.

It kinda sucked. To much story bullshit. I give it a C+

First of all great remix of the track Michael, awesome job.

Now for the movie..... DONT WATCH IT!!!!!!!

For the record, i have always love movies, since i was young as i can remember... ive watched bad and horrible movies but still was entertained.

This movie.....however didnt do anything at all!!! from start to finish you will only see about 30 seconds of action and a lot of blah blah blah blah blah blah.

ive wasted another 2 hours and 30 mins of my life with my family.

im insanely ranting of this bad bad film.

+1, DONT WATCH IT. Wait until it comes on DVD or BluRay.

i liked it, start to end. probably one of the better comic movies ive seen. i bought the trade paper back comic (stop calling it graphic novel ) this week to compare it to the movie since i never read it. likely wont read it til after miami/wmc though. just a bit busy at the moment and i started reading v for vendetta again.

oh one problem was that i caught the first showing and had work the next day. didnt know it was going to be that long... only got 3 hours sleep before needing to head to work
