Top Resident DJs Worldwide????
Hi there, I'm writing an article about Toronto DJ, Mark Oliver. He's been the resident at Toronto's GUVERNMENT nightclub since it opened 12 years ago and has only missed seven Saturday nights in the last twelve years. His usual set is 9hrs of cutting-edge music to a room of 2000+ riotous partiers. I'm convinced that is an unmatchable feat the world over. Anyone care to bring others to my attention that may hold up to similar scrutiny??
Tiesto once played in front of the entire Universe population, for an eternity.

I'm not sure you're understanding my question. Tiesto is not a long-time resident DJ. He may take up an Ibiza residency here and there but he is generally a touring DJ.
Francois K is a little closer to what I am looking for but his residencies don't seem to last beyond the 5yr mark. As well, he takes time away to tour during his residencies.
I'm really interested in DJ that could possibly qualify as 'unsung' heroes. To steal an idea from Hollywood, I'm wondering about the "Mystery, Alaska" phenomena.
Wrap your mind around this, The Guvernment is ranked at #8 in the world. It has had the same resident in its main room every Saturday (...except for seven that he missed) since 1997 playing all night, except when the best DJs across the world stop by to play a set, and on those nights he still usually opens and closes.
Me.

Well Eric Morillo at Pacha NYC obviously. There are a lot. I know the UK has a good number of them. Obviously there are the Berghain guys, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann and Shed, among others (like Len Faki). I think the Watergate has Sascha Funke, but I'm not sure if he's a resident there. Also there's the Circo Loco crew of course (Rhadoo, Raresh, etc...). I know England has got some really good ones, too.
