please help a fellow usa/geman ta out

currently i'm spending my summer over in germany, but i'll soon cross the boarder and i need some guidance!

alright, so i'm going to impulz on the 29th thats first and for most....and then i'll be in amsterdam from the 2nd to the 6th, meeting some friends of mine there....but from the 30th to the 2nd, i have no idea what to do, where to go, i don't know holland at all

i guess to help narrow it down, i could go after impulz to amsterdam and then just stay there and wait for my friends to arrive, but i need some things to do BEFORE my friends get there, so any suggestions?? anything good happening around that time? any club that i must check out on a special night??? anything in amsterdam i should do during the day?

Ehmm...there is a concert of Rammstein the 30th of June in Ahoy/Rotterdam i think

30 till 2nd of july? Hmm..thats from Sunday till thursday, am i right? I dont know if there are any trance parties on those days, i guess not. But Amsterdam is a big city, so there is a lot to do.
Visit the National Museum, visit the Sexmuseum, visit a lot of coffeeshops, visit the Red Light District etc etc. There is a lot to do.

oh damn!!! now i'm really considering that!! how far is the hague from amsterdam?? and if i do go, you know of any good hostels in the hague where i could stay for the night???? and tickets?

It's about 40 km from Amsterdam to The Hague. For hostels or hotels check: http://www.denhaag.com/cityguide/.
And if there's gone be a presale I don't know. They didn't announced anything. But I expect that they are going to announce it soon. So check www.eau.nl.

a friend told me about a hostel called "flying pig" or something in amsterdam...supposed to be really good.....can anyone back that up or have any info on that??
