Tracks for travelling..

Going away for 6 months, curious to know what tracks people think are a must have on their ipods, Tracks with great melodies, whilst lieing on a beach or in a jungle which make you think or are emotionally moving.

Fire away!

That was the plan, but considering the meltdown of the worlds economy.. I decided to be a bum and go to India and Nepal for 6 months, rather than land, struggle to get work and waste all my money in Oz!...

I know it's supposed to be an Arctic theme, but the first disc of Northern Exposure always sounds very tropical to me. You've got David Attenbrough talking about the Trans-Amazonian highway, The FSOL at their most organic, Raincry, Water From A Vine Leaf, Deep Forest chipping in and Last Train To Lhasa (the sunlit city).

Essential stuff!!!

The theme and the music always seemed very incongruous to me. There's nothing cold or austere about those tracks...

You know, I feel the opposite way. I always listen to that CD when I'm driving through the mountains.

I kind of want to recommend Tastexperience for the beach, but I can't really think of any of their tracks that make me think of the beach.

Beach:

Solarstone - Seven Cities
Ronski Speed and Sebastian Sand - Sole Survivor (Ronski Speed Mix)
Others I can't think of now.

I'm sure there's people who will disagree with me, but Tastexperience - Highlander reminds me of a jungle.

I would be more concerned about how to charge your Ipod!

You will have enough battery for a few hours, then you will be fucked for the remainder of the six months.

So you will only need a few albums.
