alright heres the deal im sure youve all heard of c89.5 right, the only dance station in the NW. well ive started a thread at there site and basicly it would be tight if i could get your support. im sure you all agree(thoughs of you that can even stand that station) that they should play more trance. so if you want you can go to

and click on "Post HERE if you want more techno/trance and less singing!!"

and post that you want more trance. the cool thing is you can do it as a guest and post the same thing as many times as you want under differnt names

i think it would be tight if we could get all the TAs to post but i dought that will happen.

personaly i think c895 is crap but i want more trance on the radio so what can you do

i dont know if it will have any effect on the station but who cares, screw it, its worth a shot

if you dont, at least read it, DJ fizzle hes so cool!!!

c 89.5 seems to only be good late night. since at this time not many peopel are probably listening so they can afford to do no main-stream stuff. the problem lies that if they did go to a progressive trance, [well any non top40 trance and non club] that chances are they would lose the crowd they probably get from people that like pop. Since the pop crowd far outnumbers the pure trance crowd they would lose listeners and in effect ad money. It would be a very risky movie, they would have to ensure that they could retain or increase the amount of listeners to order to stay alive.
I would to see see an all tech radio station [ambient,dnb,progr house,chill,trance, house] and not just focus on one type.
o well, probaly won't change anything, but it is a good goal. eh maybe they would at least start a trance hour. probably would be on 3-4am weekdays..

eeehh...i once called and won like a cd from that station. never received in the mail, as they said they would mail it out. since i havent listened to them. wait i lied. there was this once, and i cought them playing the bootleg Darude vs. Robert Miles - children of the sandstrom.
yeah....

hmm...i h8 that station. i pretty much avoid the radio in the past 2 years.

Was driving up to Seattle for the M's game last Sunday and came across it as I remember it from years ago....I forgot it was a Sunday morning....Gospel Music Sundays...I almost hurled.
I think yer better off starting your own station..

Took it myself out of the cockpit between Sea-Tac and PDX couple months ago...I tell ya...it's the best office view in the whole world. Something different every day.

Now only if we could get XM up there...hehe

we only get AM radio in the cockpit...i'm getting tired of talk radio.

omg that brings up a question: do cells really interfere? or is it a plot to make money off charging 3.00 a minute on those phones..? dont they use sattlite too!?!?@#

Cell phones are nasty nasty. It's not a problem if they are just "on" but if they start getting a signal...i.e. a call...HOlY interference. Radios get scratchy and the Nav. stuff can get a little whack...I know this because we tried ours once on a nice clear day while repositioning an airplane (no passengers). My phone wasn't too bad, but my Cap's was Awful...(he had AT&T).

The Airphone you refer to with high prices have a shielded antanna and are properly adjusted to an aircraft antanne and thus the interference is disapated and usable...the high fee is the luxury for calling your buddy from 7 miles high.

Oh...to prove that celly's cause problems...the final report on a CrossAir (Swiss) commuter aircraft Crash sighted that an active cell phone (uknown if it inadvertantly depressed a hot key to send a call when hitting some bumps) in the cargo hold caused interference during final approach and led the plane off course crashing short of the runway. I beleive that was 3-4 years ago...the report is bout 2 1/2 years old.
