Thanks massive for having me. I had a great time, so did my friends. It was great seeing some familiar faces. Ronski destroyed the place, and great set by Brad. I left before I got to hear victor spin, and Jacob and Rai both delivered a great set.
Also Love just keeps bringing out a great crowd. I have to say I love the place, lol.
I hope to see everyone at the next event.
Great times indeed. Looking forward to the next one! It was good to see a lot of old faces from the loft and other events.
I did get a bunch of requests for Satellite but Ronski played it already. Btw- Ronski and Brad did an excellent job.
See you all soon...
An absolutely kick ass night and a big thank you to everyone who came out! Had a great time meeting a lot of you, and saw great sets from Rai, Ali, Victor and of course Ronski. Jacob sorry I missed your set in the cave but it was great to meet you as well!
Will post my set as soon as I can get back to Brooklyn to grab it off my recorder. I had a real blast playing, although I must apologize about the abrupt ending. When the sound guy went to setup the CDJ for Ronski he knocked my firewire cable out
Me having no idea what went awry at the time, I thought it would just be quicker to have Ronski jump in since it was my last song anyways.
Guess that'll teach me to always have my emergency cd locked and loaded instead of hanging out in my DJ bag!
Here's something I was thinking about last week.
Since the Cave has problems with sound leaking in from the main room, maybe it would be prudent to invest in some sound absorbing panels along the corridor there. As it is, those hard surfaces are just channel it in full force.
Not really a review. I had to pick up some friends from hoboken that night so we decided to buy tickets the day before. Anyways we spent an hour and a half looking for macdougal and no luck. We asked like 10-15 people and still, nothing lol. It was fun driving and drinking in NY thou lol, thats what i get for driving over there anyways lol. I heard it was an awesome night thou X_X. And by the tracks i see above, im kind of pissed i didn't find it now
lol.

My third time at Love and I have to say it's my favorite new club. Great vibe, great people and so cool to have two rooms. My first time seeing Ronski Speed & Brad Miller, both were great, some really slamming trance by RS and I really dig how Brad Miller mixes progressive with trance. Great sets by Jake, Ali and Rai in the Cave too. Sadly was too wiped out to catch Victor Dinare's set. The sound quality in the Cave was the best I've heard so far, and I'm glad the volume has come down a bit in the big room. Great night.
Fun night.
Hearing Orbital - Halcyon in the beginning of the night was cool.
2 small gripes...
1) the stringers on the left side who took up a 1/3 of the entire room
2) What's up with Love's sound system? Thought it was supposed to be top notch. The sound wasn't loud enough...I could literally hear full blown conversations from the people standing next to me.

I had a fuking blast, yo! I fuking got the flu Sunday till Tuesday and now I have my energy back but this cough is out of control. Sound like an 80 y/o smoker.
The night was all around UGHH-MAZING music wise.
Ronski never disappoints. He plays exactly how I like dj's to play (a little bit from every label and not just ONE SPECIFIC LABEL).
I asked Ronski to play Stoneface & Terminals remix of Unforgivable cuz I figured he'd play a fellow labelmates track - might as well tell him which one (should have mentioned the dub part). He played that and another S&T song towards the beginning of the set.
He also played that new Mat Zo song on Anjuna. Lucky strike? Or am I off the wall? Excuse me.. still sick so my mind is half working.
He played Ronski Speed - Aural Slave (Thomas Datt reeeeeeeeeeeeeemix BOH BOH - SELECTAH) haha! Fuking love that song Orignal & Remix pwn. He didn't play the original his first time in NYC but who cares now? hehe. I am so glad we got to hear it first and LIVE! wooooooooot!
Props to Big Mike and especially my Datt-e-poo. Bissen also did a great remix of Ronski's All The Way - he just didn't play it!
You guys all rock and big congrats.
Vic - you rocked it too. Thanks for not playing ME as the alst song.
I am taking a loooooong break from partying *i hope*. KvA is during spring break so I think I can manage to go out - then.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cool meeting new TA's *crosses u off my list*
I am curious how was his mixing...? Was it spot on....? I heard him wreck a few times before.

i beg to differ bad mixing is really not acceptable throughout an entire set. a couple mistakes is fine obviously because they are human but their job is to read the crowd, construct a set and make it seemless. given the amount of money some djs are paid it really shouldn't be too much of a hardship to do all three relatively well.
