MIKE TERZIAN Bio

A staunch purveyor of the Soulful House Music genre, Michael Terzian (aka DJ Sinister) has been playing records since 1994. He's graced the turntables at several Montreal hotspots both old & new, such as Club DiSalvio, Jai Bar, Aria, Stereo Bar, Cherry, The Academy, Salon Daome and Globe just to name a mere few. Michael was also a member of Montreal's Utopia's Paradise radio crew (CKUT 90.3 FM/ Sunday mornings 2-7am).

Furthermore, he is one of the founding forefathers of the longest-running deephouse web portal of its kind, www.deepvibes.org/. He presently hosts and deejays his own LIVE internet radio show. Entitled "Salvation From Sin: the Orthodox Sessions", you can hear Michael on Monday nights from 8pm-1am (E.S.T.) on www.motionfm.com/

Over the course of his dj career, Michael has moulded a signature, cutting-edge, tough House sound. He places heavy emphasis on pure, unadulterated gospel-style vocals, intertwined with raw grooves, thumping beats, lush deepness and afro-caribbean flavors. His fierce, relentless & avant-garde dj sets are crash courses in the proper House sound, regularly showcasing the music of Kerri Chandler, Blaze, Ron Trent, Glenn Underground, Smack Music, DJ Spinna, MAW, Joe Claussell and Jovonn just to name a mere few. His tenacity and passion has also been recognized by key figures in the House Music industry.

In 2003 & 2004, while still working for Club Shelter, NYC's world-renowned 5-time award-winning Deep Dance Promoter of the Year, Robbi (MAW Records/Dance Ritual/Sole Channel), ranked DJ Sinister two years in a row on his list of "Top 20 Soulful House DJ's". In 2007, Robbi included Michael once more! Here are the lists: 2003 list , 2004 list and 2007 list. Michael's name was featured alongside heavyweights like Timmy Regisford, Louie Vega, DJ Pope, Danny Krivit, DJ Harvey, Ron Trent, Tony Humphries, Mr. V, David Morales, Joe Claussell, Anthony Nicholson, Francois Kevorkian, Glenn Underground, Kerri Chandler, Ian Friday, Terry Hunter, DJ Spen, & Kenny Dope, amongst others. In 2004, NYC's Mr. V (Vega Records/MAW/Sole Channel) chose Michael as co-winner in a DJ competition that he had organized, where the winners would play side-by-side with V & Alix Alvarez at their weekly Sole Channel party. Likewise, in 2004, POJI Records' DJ Pope invited Sinister to do a guest spot on his weekly radio show (WEAA 88.9FM/The Deeper Side of Midnight) in Baltimore, MD. In 2005, Michael founded a weekly 5-hour party called Salvation From Sin (inspiring the name of his present radio show), where he turned heads and converted many others, continuing to solidify himself as a steadfast staple in Soulful House Music. In 2007 & 2008, Michael was also invited to play for Soul Simple Entertainment during the WMC 2007 & WMC 2008 in South Beach (Miami), Florida. Terzian has also been a regular guest DJ at jojoflores' Therapy parties over the years.

Most recently, he co-held a weekly Saturday night residency for over a year at the infamous Salon Daome in Montreal. In June 2008, Michael was inducted into the infamous NU BANG CLAN crew. Originally based out of Chicago, the NBC family runs deep and includes several prominent members such as legendary DJ Alan King (from The Chosen Few, founding forefathers of House Music), Greg Gray, Rick Wilhite (of 3 Chairs), Gene King, Joe Smooth, DJ Quad, Nature Love, Phil Hooton, Ronnie Ron, Soul Oasis & the Grand High Priest Craig Loftis, amongst others!

Equally, Michael is also Chief Music Reviewer for House Music e-zine, Underground House Magazine (www.uhmag.com). Whether he plays for a nightclub, or on radio, expect Michael to continue his reign of sweet torture by bringing down the roof and making dancers not only climb walls, but equally ascend to their innermost spiritual heights.

"Not Everyone Understands House Music" If you had to describe RudyC.'s sound in one phrase it would be *SOULFUL DANCE MUSIC*Growing up in southern california he witnessed Los Angeles' underground house culture first hand, In 2002 with all these experiences under his belt he founded For Those Who Know...Productions.A house music collective based in Los Angeles. His first event, For Those Who Know... on Oct. 5th 2002 featured djs Jojoflores, Patrick Wilson, Lamech, Robert Jouse and Slick Dadda.

He then relocated to Montreal Canada where he worked for Jojoflores' Gotsoul Recordings and Gotsoul Productions; there he was involved with the then newly launched Gotsoul Recordings, the Weekly club Therapy in Montreal and the Monthly One-off Therapy in Toronto.

In 2004 he produced his first of two shows in Miami at the Winter Music Conference, as well as it being his Professional Dj Debut.

FTWK... produce & co - produce various one - off underground events in Los Angeles. 2003 Saw our one year anniversary, featuring the very first Los Angeles performance of Legendary Vocalist KENNY BOBIEN. 2004 Saw our two year anniversary feat. Special Guest Dj Glen Underground. March 2005 saw the first official For Those Who Know... Event at the annual Winter Music Conference featuring legendary vocalist Kenny Bobien along with his wife Stephanie Cooke a legend in her own right..2005 also saw the 3 yr. Ann. event feat. our good friend Nef Nunez from N.Y. as well as a stellar New Years Eve party feat. legendary Dj / Producer Gene Hunt from Chicago. 2006 saw the 2nd annual For Those Who Know... Winter Music Conference event , with stellar live performances by K.T. Brooks, Dawn Tallmen , Michelle Weeks, and which none other than house legends Mike Clark & Glenn Underground closed out the night . 2007 saw our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY @ WMC feat. the first appearance of talented vocalist SWAYLO along with welcoming back Glenn Underground and label mate Boo Williams. 2008 Ftwk...Hosted the Echo Bravo Oasis Rising Tour Featuring Guest Dj Rob "Rekshyt" Lewis.

He co - produced Therapy Los Angeles which brought Jojoflores famed night to the west coast for the first time, and which at its height was taking place in multiple cities around the world. RudyC. has had the pleasure of playing alongside some of house music's most influentual Djs and Producers such as Glenn Underground, Jojoflores, Patrick Wilson, Dj Spen, Terrance Parker, Dj Camacho , Master Kev, Stacy Kidd as well as playing with Live Performers such as Kenny Bobien, K.T. Brooks, Viola Sykes, Stephanie Cooke, Dawn Tallman, Michele Weeks and Swaylo to name a few. He has been privileged to have rocked dancefloors in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico City, San Diego, Las Vegas and Miami.

In 2007 RudyC. was also asked by Glenn Underground to join his new record label Strictly Jaz Unit Muzic. With these credentials and passion for creating musical soundscapes and events,RudyC. has become one of L.A.'s premiere DeepSoulful House personas.
