sorry to hijack your thread but i have a couple of questions about ableton too (just started using it)

1. is there a chopping feature like the one in FL Studio?
2. what does rewiring to fl studio do?

Have you even read the manual?

You just drag the midi file(s) onto one of the clip spaces. Either from another window or Abletons browser.

Yes, there is a chopping feature, just stick the clip in arrangement view and chop away.

As for rewire with FLStudio, I haven't tried it. If you're asking the question, what does rewiring do? Then I suggest you use google for a bit.

Odd.

What is the error message you get? Or does it just not allow the file to be placed onto a clip? If it's the latter then its probably not a compatible file.

I would double check that your saving your midi files in FL correctly.

Drag and drop.

That's all there's to it. So I'd have to side with Acton here, something's not right with your file.
