-- My Essential Mix
My Essential Mix
This is an idea that someone came up with on the Matt Hardwick forum - everone does a 2 hour mix to show what they could come up with if they were lucky enough to get and essentual mix. Well here is my attempt and I hope you like it:
http://www.zshare.net/audio/5715679685c85bcd/
The tracklist is
1. Whirloop Hosanna
2. Vibrasphere Purple Floating (Cosma remix)
3. Chakra Opacity (Chakra vs. Audio Junkies remix)
4. Fatali & Digicult The Return (Alpha F remix)
5. Wizzy Noise Lost Atlantis
6. Alchemix New Form Of Energy
7. Vibrasphere Autumn Lights
8. Ovnimoon Open Third Eye
9. Micky Noise Maya
10. Prosper Purple Fish
11. John 00 Fleming Rasa Lila (Jay Selway remix)
12. Mad Maxx The Good Old Times
13. Chakra Conceived Of The Rhythm
14. Prosper On Wheels
15. Nicholas Bennison Exocet (album rework)
16. Wizzy Noise vs. John 00 Fleming Endelexia
17. John 00 Fleming Rasa Lila (part one)
18. Prosper Highly Flammable
19. LSG Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix)
20. Steve Birch Crying Angel
It starts out nice and deep, and the energy picks up around tack 9. From then onwards it gets steadily more banging and psychadelic, but maintining all the memorable riffs and melodies that I love about trance, and peaks at track 16. from there on its builds back down into classic trance. This is hugely influenced by John 00 Fleming - I am well aware of that
I hope you enjoy it, and please give me some brutally honest feedback

I'll have a listen to this. The tracklist looks to be my kind of thing.
Downloading now - loved the Custard Factory one!
Got a very early train journey tomorrow am so this will brighten it up.
Will leave some feedback later in the week mate.
Cheers.
Loved it as per usual! Glad you re-edited it to remove the distortion.
I especially loved that purple fish track and of course the inclusion of Rasa Lila and Endelexia. I couldn't tell that the Jay Selway remix was Rasa Lila, though it is an amazing track in it's own right!
This will be a regular on my mp3 player! Thanks!
P.S. MORE PLEASE!!!
This looks like it could be real naaaaiiice.

At least it is memorable!
I know I know. But there's gotta be a way to combine those two smileys

Another cracker Jon! Definitely some J00F influence going on but also aspects of you own style -tune selection and mixing were spot on.
My cold walk from the station this morning went very quickly thanks to this mix.
Well done.

Fuck, I'll stop. I do need to listen to this though, looks very interesting even though I never listen to psy all that much.
I had downloaded this a while ago and it got lost in the abyss of my hard drive with nary a listen. Last weekend I was having a mushroom party at my house and randomly clicked on a set. It happened to be this one. There were people over who had never really listened to any sort of EDM and absolutely loved it.
I must say I enjoyed this more than most Essential Mixes I hear. Definitely going to be in rotation for a while.
Thanks for the great tunes!
