not recognizing traktor vinyl

I just got traktor scratch and installed it and I'm trying to get it to recognize the vinyl. I read that I have to callibrate, but I can't find where to do that. I'm using a certified mixer with traktor so I don't have the audio8. Can anyone help me out with this?
