jurgen vries - the theme mothaa fuckin tune!!!

what a fuckin tune. this is one unfuckinbelievable stomper

Posted by Kris G on Jun-14-2002 07:35:

I like it, reminds me of Citizen Kaned- the Journey, only heard Jules play it at the moment though, so the only rips that'll be about (if any) are gonna be radio ones. I just know the vinyl of this wont be out for months and months..

Posted by Slapskin on Jun-14-2002 07:37:

ya it does remind me of the journey too. sweet ass tune

Posted by flystyler on Jun-14-2002 07:47:

Jules spins it a lot, it is in both of the latest sets i have from him, and i love it.

I cant wait for a decent rip of this, ie full vinyl rip

Posted by Petrinho on Jun-14-2002 09:16:

I believe Darren Tate is behind this one. And if u think it reminds u of citizen kaned ...its because Tate is behind that one too!
TUNE

Smiley DJ

This one is massive!!!!It sounds a bit like Darren Tate did the track, but it's probably one of those obscure mid-european white labels that take ages to come out, sadly. Can't wait for a full rip tho,it rocks!!!!!

Im not so sure. Agreed it does have a Tate sound to it, but from what Ive heard, Jurgen Vries - The Theme is being released on Sony UK. Darren Tate releases under Serious. So unless Darren Tate and the head honchos (i.e. Jules & Co etc.) at Serious have had a bust up then I dont think it is by him.

But it must be by someone who is very matey with jules as he is the only one with a copy as far as i know

Posted by Spin Doctor on Jun-27-2002 19:48:

True, true! But Daren and Jules are matey so wouldnt you think if it WAS Darren behind this it would be out on Serious?

Posted by Az on Jun-27-2002 20:20:

This may sound silly, but could it not be by a new artist called "jurgen vries", cos if it is Darren Tate it's a silly name to call yourself
and yes it is a TUNE

True well maybe i can ask jules this weekend and nick his vinyl

hehehe

Posted by Slapskin on Jun-28-2002 07:28:

maybe its by dj jurgen. he could have added vries as part of his nickname or somethin

Posted by Vestan_Pance on Jun-28-2002 08:07:

No, its defo Darren Tate.
Jules has said so on his show last week. He also questioned why they chose Jurgen Vries as it doesnt exactly trip off the tongue!

Thats odd, Id have though that Jules would have snapped this up for Serious! Still, I don't think this will get a release for a good long while yet.

written in your sig.

I don't want to cause confusion but the Radio 1 playlist claims it's on FFRR which is a branch of London Records I believe and not Sony UK.
