www.homeofmusic.com. Anyone remember this?
Anyone remember this site? Run by DJ Rrebel. This used to be *the* source of new dance music for me but it closed down. Now it's tranceaddict.

I've been goin there since 98'. To bad it's gone
Homeofmusic is still up and running actually.
The site closed for 2-3 months because of server problems, but the majority of the site is back up and running again. Music downloads have been disabled until new servers are found (though Rrebel has found two so far I think, and needs one more) and hopefully this main part of the site will be back up in the next couple of months.
Oh, and all the good mp3/music forums are/were Canadian. TA, HoM, DCN, Promos 4 DJ's (now globalmindz) and so on. Dunno why, just the way it is.
I have contacts now, so i get music from them
muhahahahaha
ahh HoM ehh . that was one crazy website Dj Rrebel built , the colors use to hurt my eyes , he had some good content on there.

Such is life.
Allow me to reiterate:
Homeofmusic isn't closed down. There aren't any DD music downloads atm (due to lack of server space) but the forum is still up and can be accessed here:
http://forums.homeofmusic.com
Get with the program fellas.
i still go there from time to time...jus too many people there more for the mp3s than actually talkin bout the music...if it never got closed i dont think i'd find tranceaddict...hehe...glad i did...
Yea same thing with GrooveRadio.com ... Last year they said they would be back up, Its been a year and a half! UGH! That was the best online radio! I miss it

That place was a really good community and the only place i went to get to know good tunes. Hope it gets back up soon.
I went there too. But only for the music, now it's back online (for a while) I don't really see why I should join that forum, got enough on my hands with this one.
Greetz, Kamaya.
Yeah HOM closed down the music section *along* time ago. The funny thing I remember was every single track had www.homeofmusic.com written all over it.
The title, the artist, the ripper, the year haha. The other thing was all the tracks were like 128 or 160 which doesn't cut the mustard these days.
It was a great stie and i used to love browsing all those new tracks and the archives too.

| think 128 is fine, I personally cant see a difference between 128,160,192 ect except the size of the, I always rip my MP3's at 128 |

(take the fast option instead of the slower but better quality option) I always encode my MP3's in variable bit rate encoding at the highest setting. It's really fast as well. Better to be safe then sorry. |
