I just found the plan from Harpers conservatives on how to go forward in terms of the economy. It's about 120 pages so I haven't read it yet but for those who are interested here's the link:

Further proof that Harper and co. are the ones that need to remain in charge at least for now. Canada is still leading the way economically amongst the G7. (Fuck that G20 bull shit, it's just out of pitty )

Yes I think we need Ignatieff and Jack Layton to be running the country right now.

If you want debt, well, when the NDP nationalizes every single company in the entire nation you'll have all the debt in the world to pay off.

Ignatieff would just sit around with his scholar buddies smoking a pipe and testing out ridiculous economic theories that would end up ruining this country.

And yes, go Harper, despite the ridiculous games the opposition desperately tried to play in order to regain power, Harper still prevailed because the will of Canadians was on his side. Now stop crying about the lack of democracy and all this other bull shit hippie nonsense. Politics is a rough sport.

I don't like Harper at all, I don't like his team, I don't like his ideological bent and I really don't like his awareness of the rest of the world (none).

The plan isn't bad though, from what I've read so far (happy to see you're going through it Alex! More eyes is better).

My complaint is that the Conservatives used it as a bit of a cover to push through tax cuts which I think are populus, ideological, and dogmatic. I can't complain to much until I really get time to study this topic though.

I like the insentives for home reno's. Toronto is in particular need of repairs to it's existing housing stock.

I like some of the infrastructure investment but I think this could have been higher. I think it's a good thing that Canadians seem to be embracing public transit again, definately speaks well of the whole country.

The EI modifications are also well placed. This is clearly a response to the Liberal pressure from the budget this year. 5 more weeks of EI for claimants, 'faster' turn around times, more training insentives, and some extra considerations for people who've been in a single industry for a long time.

I think Ignatieff would have been the best person to be in the position right now. He's not really that different then Harper on economics (not a positive imo) but he's much more versed in international relations. He should probably be the one at the G20 right now. Don't forget that Obama met with him before meeting the PM on his visit.
