Trip-hop recommendations please...

Can anyone recommend some good albums ala DJ Shadow or DJ Cam - not so much into Morcheeba, but Massive Attack, etc. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Maybe I just need to listen again, but I cannot fucking stand Portishead. Massive Attack are fantastic, as are just about everyone else named in this thread, but I can't hack Portishead.

i will concur that i do not love everything portishead has done, but their influence in bringing this style of music to a more "mainstream" audience is undeniable (which does not mean good once again).

Listen to the version of Sour times on their Roseland NYC live album then. Awesome.

That whole album is one the best live performances I've ever heard.
