Good Drum machine (or good sample pack)?

Any recommendations for a good drum machine (NOT a VST plugin, only AU works) or a good drum sample pack?

Lana, try Native Instruments Battery if you're looking for a drum sampler, you can load any samples in to it and works really well to help manipulate individual percussion sounds.

If you're looking for a drum machine like a classic step sequencer, then try Fxpansion Guru - it does the lot from acting as a sampler to step sequencer, to layered FX etc. For me it's too much as I like to keep the sequencing in logic so I just use battery.

A good place to start is to look for vengeance drum samples, eastwest samples, the obvious classic roland sounds and tbh I get a lot by cutting them from tracks I really like.
