Anybody interested in working on creating an acapella with me?
And before I am blasted, it is not original material. It is a cover for a particular song that I was able to get my hands on. (instrumental + vocal)
Format: High quality mp3, 192kbps (Digital source, just not encoded at 320, highest 192kbps quality you can imagine) The cover is going at 63bpm
Here is a link to the original of the song....

I do ask that the acapella created be kept for only personal use. Busted my ass for quite some time to get these files. This song has some sentimental value to me which is why I have viciously hunted it down, even emailing Warner and REM personally, no luck there though. I got the next best thing though if we can figure out a way to get these vocals out. The standard phase flip and play over each other isn't working, and yes they are both the exact same length.
Send me an AOL AIM @ djstephenwiley9 if you'd like to give it a shot or MSN Messenger, - or if you're archaic and still living in the stone age, you can email me @

- I don't care what DAW you use, I'm just trying to find somebody who can extract the vocals as best as possible. I can handle the rest from there as far as EQing goes.
bummer as vocal extraction is the one area i still need to learn so maybe we should combine our creative forses on something else.
Oh the Digiman is not going to like this.
People still think you can extract vocals from mix?
