Well i was thinking...whats the next big breakthrough 4 trance and maybe all music...I think all of these trance producers should start releasing some versions of their songs in dolby 5.1 surround, I mean I love the way that trance surrounds u, but remember thats just with 2 speakers imagine when its in surround sound...it will be ridiculous(awesome)...trance is probably the first type of music that could benefit from multichannel surround...
What do ya think...

The Trance gods work their magic with two speakers and sometimes i fell as if i'm surrounded, but when they can produce in multichannel surround then u will hear magik!

That would be great... Think of all the possible moods you can set, the soundeffects you can reach... It would probably be the most intense way of listening to music possible. It would really make 'floating on the soundswaves' possible.
It might be cool if we could even make the sound come from underneath and above us. That should be do-able, right?

DVD-Audio
Ahhhh another one of my passions 
I'm big into home theater and the sound you're asking about is already here...
Its DVD-Audio, I believe Sony came up with this format... There are only a select group of DVD-A's out there but if you can goto a home theater store and have a listen, its amazing stuff.... Makes listening to CD's/mp3's seem like old audio tape!
The big problem is that nobody is jumping into this format (record companies) because of cost and lack of early adopters.. Its kind of the same thing that happened with DVD when it first came out in 97, some studios waited for the format to be stable before commiting. There was of course even a small format war between Divx and DVD, which was a joke since Divx sucked my balls
So it might take some time to get this format out to the masses but it will be worth it.. Just one problem, you can't ever have this sound on Vinyl

Excellent advice.... Bass first, the 80watts speakers are fine, add bass and you'll be much happier.. Then later get bigger speakers, but only if you get a good amp to power them...
Much better to have 5 same brand speakers that are 100w each, instead of 2-3 different brands in varying w...
But thats mostly for cinema viewing, if you want good speakers for trance... Get big fronts (3 ways) and power them with enough juice... I'd go for 200-300w fronts if you have a normal sized room, and make sure you have a good amp to power something like that...
I have a friend in Iceland with 2 cerwin vega 1000w fronts! They are absolutely insane! He even used to live in an apartment block, volume 3 was the highest he could go

hey Thor..thanx first....but whats "adding bass" ? i get the part about 500 watts + amps...
how do i add bass...i use some DSP plugins (SRS WOW Plugin)in Winamp...they greatly improve sound quality.were u talking hardware ?
and one more thing...if i buy speakers with independent power chord doesnt that mean they have built-in amp ??
Oh your talking computer sound system Well there I'm no expert, sorry, I thought you were talking home theater stuff.... But you can add a sub or bass box to your computer.... My set up has one and its really cool, but its still a baby compared to my home theater

dude...i've got my comp hooked to my aiwa system...thats how i get 80 watts...i think i'll chek out the adding a sub to my comp....
My home theatre is in my Hostel room....making a hostel theatre ! cos i cant blast off at my home...i live in flats.i record mixes from comp and take it to my hostel to listen

Quad Stereo Imaging...or something.
if i'm not mistaken, vestax released a mixer with the quad stereo imaging capability (that what its called??). that could really take trance to a whole new level.
