The Atlanta Trance & Rave Meetup Group

I am the organizer of the meetup group and I'm mostly into Psytrance but I like more mainstream trance and some house as well. The meetup groups is for all types of trance and since the psy scene isn't that big in Atlanta, most of the meetups will probably be mainstream trance so "trance going ravers and ufo wearing clubbers" are more than welcome!!

Also, I am looking for other people who are willing to organize meetups!! There isn't much to it, you meet, drink and go party!

What i was hinting at is would the party be a a glowstick and pacifier raver party or not really that vibe ? I ask cause im a true trance fan and this is labeled a trance meet up group. Just most people i know personally who are into trance arent much for the druggy rave vibe at all. Hence me asking if the ufo druggies would be the majority..

Yes, there was. The good thing was that we did not limit it to trance. The bad thing is none of us followed up on it and it fell apart.

Ahh! My bad. That is a good question. It is an outdoor event, in Cherokee farms, Lafayette Ga. So it will be quite spread out.

As far as the constitution of the crowd is concerned. I'm not sure. I'm from India and I've partied many times in Goa. I'm hoping the scene is as good as I am used to. I know the psy scene in the US is not as good as that in Europe, South America and Asia but it is growing. Frisco and the bay area are supposed to have a bumping scene. It's sort of ironic since one of the fathers of Goa and Psy trance is american (Goa Gil- Coming to NC in May!!!). In Goa, some were on drugs and some weren't. AS long as the music is good and people have a positive vibe- I'm happy.

I love psy and I'm looking forward to a good time. I've been to a couple of parties organized by AltPsy (at the red room in mid town). It's nice. They try to keep it clean.

I thought so... I actually met one or two people from the list about the time I stopped getting notifications. Lost touch with all... don't they charge to manage/own the list? I assumed that's why it went down the drain.

They do charge. I've paid for a few months... and we'll see after that... One of the problems I know I'm going to face/ am facing is that since the end goal is to go to a club or a rave, people rsvp and land up directly at the event with their friends. Once you're at a club or a rave... well. The point is to "meetup" before heading there... apparently.

I'm working on a solution and it falls nothing short of world dominance...

Well we had a little meetup for AVB at the opera. It was fun. The opera sound system truly sucks! I don't know why liquified always holds there events there. To really appreciate trance you have to have a good sound system, its all about sound after all. I don't get it. I couldn't hear anything.
