Looking for Inspiration.

Is there a compilation of some kind or somewhere I can go to hear some hard dance or hard techno? Something with a big lead and pounding kicks and such? I want to make a hard dance track, but I haven't heard enough to really do it.

DI.FM "Hardstyle" has alot of what I am looking for. I'm trying to see how Bass works in this genera..

Ive already got an idea for a track and the lead melody started, it will be something hardstyle ish, with a bit of goa elements in it, but i want a hardstyle bass. This is also my first track in Cubase so its a whole new expriense to be honest.

this is a better example. its all made up of so many diffrent genres these days makes it hard to find the area you like

cubase is odd to use and as far as hardstyle basslines go can be made by layers and synths plus distort

trying to figure out how to do this "reverse bass" where the kick hits and the bass is "sucked out" or something...or maby its all the kick lol

listening to di.fm atm pretty spiffy stuff

i just heard a hardstyle song with orchestra elements in it, now that is something i can dig alot, it had violins organs and a pulse lead..lol

the thing with the bass is how they are composed, i can make the sound easy

the hard part is making tracks with alot of energy, which ive not really done before

its all trial and error the thing i found helps is make a cool pattern then try and put the bass behind it so you know what you want the bass line to do. also this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LoeYa5XWI4

I disagree, it's pretty logical! Give it a shot , I know I don't wan't another sequencer since I've been using it.

sidechaining can give this effect mate. Also, i dont know how to do it personally but i know that some hardstyle producers make their kicks from synths and use distortion so u get a kick and a bass sound, then as the note is changed the distortion is tuned to that note.
