Battery Won't Load Kit When Logic Starts?

Since moving to Logic, I've been really happy and can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner.

The only thing I haven't been able to solve is that when I'm working on a current project, battery always loads completely blank. I've set the default folder in Battery, copied the samples to the local drive, nothing seems to fix it. Not a big deal but it means every time I open a project I have to open up battery, load the kit, then I can press play.

Got another question but I think I'll start another thread....

I don't work with logic, so I don't really know. But what if you make a template with Battery loaded and a kit inside it. When you start up, the kit will be there (at least in Cubase).

Edit: Battery does load blank by default btw.

Thanks Theran!

I will try making a template with my kit but that means if I change any samples throughout the production process I'm back to square one?

Are you saying in a working project (in cubase), you have to load the kit everytime you open the project?

No, the Kit loads itself automaticly.
Unless you are missing out on samples though

Which is why i personally do everything in audio.

i use logic formerly cubase and this doesnt happen to me when ur save ur project make sure you save the audio files you have loaded into logic as well. means next time you open it they will be there even if they are deleted.

Thanks guys - I swore when i've used it in the past that it should load automatically. Will check if the samples are in the right place. All the audio files are there on the tracks, just for some reason battery is completely blank.

You get a notification if any samples are missing, and the option to search for them etc.

There is definitely something wrong with your Battery, you could see if there is any option that is unchecked, or try to resinstall it.

Ive only had bad experiences with Battery, slow loading time, crashes, and samples missing.

I know in Live, everytime i open an existing project my samples load also, this is a basic neccesity and your version of Battery should definetly do this!
Maybe try running it in standalone mode first so it knows where all the samples are???

At least you can get Battery to work!

^^ lol

its buggy as hell and the fact that you cant drop samples onto cells is absurd but i couldnt imagine myself using another drum machine, guess im just so used to it now

My problem is I acquired a...hmm...less than legal version and I guess it came with no samples/kits. Oops

Id strongly advise picking up a proper version with the full kits (12gb), along with synthetic drums 1 & 2, batterys saving grace imo
