I just bought myself a PSP

Going to mod that shit
Got myself a pandora battery and one of those duo pro adapters that lets you use two micro SD cards
aside from music and emulators, anything anyone else suggest I put on it?

Are u sure u can mod it? The latest board revisions might not allow for the mod, but I may be wrong. Aside from that, I'm a DS fan as the library and ease of hacking can't be beat

I pre-ordered a DS before launch and I still play it. I've got an old school R4 card, but I wanted to play SNES/PSX games in addition to the random games exclusive to PSP like final fantasty tactics.

Yeah, most (but not all) PSP slims can be modded. The newest retail ones can't, and all the psp 3000s can't be modded. I got an older psp 2001, guy said he had it for a while.

wait did you get a 3000 psp?

if so how did you use pandora?

sorry, i like games that look like they weren't made in the 90s.

psp can't emulate systems very well, from my experience- then again i got rid of my psp 2+ years ago. super nintendo ran shitty (high frameskip, lowest quality sound, no transparencies) so i doubt that the psx emulation would run any better.

but no, other than music and emulators you're pretty much done. try the homebrew apps i guess, they ported quake and you can play it multiplayer on your psp but the controls are horrendous. some good media players out there too.

I bought my psp modded and every emulator runs perfectly on it idk what the fuck you are talking about. Have all my old favorite playstation games on it.

Since when do graphics = quality gameplay?

i wasn't talking just about graphics. plus, i played games all through the 90s, been there done that. with today's tech the way it is i just dont feel the urge to go all retro, since retro to me is still rather recent.

Here's another thing new in the last couple of years. From my undestanding, Sony purposely limited its CPU speed to 222mhz, which was unlocked and released to its full 333mhz potential in some recent firmware update.

The increase in processor speed probably helps a lot with emulation. I haven't tried anything yet as my pandora hasn't arrived yet.

Oh, I got a psp slim (2001), not a 3000.

Listening to some armin/sean tyas on it right now as the gf sleeps :P

i have a psp slim and the only thing i can find to mod it was some new batteries and some clear case to protect the psp. other then i didnt find anything else. got any websites that you looked at to mod yours?

www.psp-hacks.com has good instructions on modding, so does youtube.
buy everything you need at dealextreme.com or ebay

I just found www.pspiso.com for free direct downloads that people graciously share on rapidshare, and of course, you can torrent stuff as well.

if you spend about 2 hours googling psp hacks, you can find just about everythign the psp can do, how to do it, and where to get everything

In california (SD, LA/OC, SJ/SF) TONS of people advertise modding on craigslist for like $20 only + a fee for games. Charging a fee for games is fuckign shady and illegal, but then again, DLing games you don't is also :X

Final Fantasy Dissidia pwns all.
Other than that , theres really no good games for the PSP..

There's only 1 good game in the entire library of the PSP? I think you need to broaden your horizons, my friend.
