giant needs a new oc spot
damn man i can hold more people in my house then that tiny ass place...yeah its(red) nice, but way to small for the big name DJ's that giant brings around. Im ranting because i waited in line for 2 hours last night and moved maybe 20 feet max, and had another 100 feet to go. Ended up bouncing.

Hasn't Giant in OC changed venues like 4 times since the start of the year?
Just saying they need to find a place to stay... and stop moving. Maybe they are trying to make the OC venue the SoCal intimate venue?
well i mean like a good size venue..they need to find a supersized lounge if thats the feel they want.

Red is a cool place, i like goin there and hope they dont move again, its good when its not too crowded, if it is theres always somewhere else to go!

It was pretty insane. I had to push through the crowds like those stupid rude people that I hated because there was just no other way.
Yeah guys I feel you showed up at like 10 as well, and was amazed at how many people were there. Saw Ryan and he gave my friend and I a stamp, and attempted to wait in that retarded line. There must have been like a thousand people there when the place only holds like 500. Waited for an hour, got bored went back to car got some shots made a mixed drink and came back to wait a little longer. My friends had the great idea to go into other line and tell bouncer we had stamps and were inside earlier and we needed to get back in and it worked lol. Got in like 5 minutes before he went on. Pretty good set, but DID NOT dig how crowded it was. It was like monster massive inside a tiny club. People pushing,shoving, not very chill. Good night I guess. Never ever seen RED that crowded before ever.
I'm consistently amazed at how long people will wait in line to see shit DJs...
Fact is that there are not that many venues that even hold large capacities in OC. Think about it...
Galaxy Theater comes to mind ...
Well i got my presale ticket and got to the club at 915 and was in at 930
))
The show rocked and I can't wait to check Kaskade at Vanguard tonight
i got my presale ticket for Armin and will likely do the same

Red is a good fit for Giant OC. Generally the size of the club is perfect for the interest for electronic music on a Thursday in Orange County. Logic tells you that when you have a DJ with the commercial pull of Kaskade you will get a situation like Thursday. This Monday with Armin will be another example of a capacity night, but for the most part, the size of Red is just right for the night. If it was like that every week, then yes, it wouldn't make sense.
Agreed!
And from what I have heard DJ's themselves have expressed an interest on how much they like the set up, vibe and general feel of the venue.

Yep I think its safe to say that with EDM on a swift rise again in socal Red won't last long as Giant's Thursday night spot. Didn't they also say they updated the sound system?? Definitely heard lots of distortion through Kaskade's set and my ears were ringing all morning after...still a great set by Kaskade
