hoping the dodgers continue on a great finish.

My surprise club for this year:

I think KC has enough tools to put together a good season!

my predictions for the 09 season: baseball will still be the 2nd most boring "sport" on earth next to curling.

That sir is not a prediction. That has been solidified as fact way too long ago

Its not a promising sign when your team is 1-7 (Cleveland)
I know its a long way to go yet so it might pan out alright, but its not exactly a ripping way to start. Could be a long season for the Tribe.

My other team (SD) seemed to have started ok though, so I'm placing my great hopes on them this year.

Excited this year because we're getting games on free-to-air tv for the first time, only problem is they're generally 3am in the morning and not replayed at a better timeslot

I think this is true. The AL Central is going to be a dogfight, and KC may stay close in the race. Soria and Greinke are just nasty on the mound.

Go Mariners...

Ichiro and Jr... thats something to love... especially when both are hitting the long balls (grand slams included).

i know it's going to be a long season but the yankees are the best definition of shameful lazy millionaire talentless team...kthnxbye.

Posted by winston on Apr-17-2009 19:38:

any fan of real baseball would agree that the last couple of days have been great for the sport. The on going games between the St. Louis Cardinals and the cubs have been fucking awesome.

Posted by trunks1022 on Apr-17-2009 20:20:

before the season started, i thought the mets had no reliable starting pitching after johan. might be a little too early, but after two weeks, this seems to bear itself out.

fixed

Posted by trunks1022 on May-19-2009 05:37:

the mets have made SO MANY baserunning blunders all year! latest instance - ryan church not stepping on third base in the 11th inning on angel pagan's shot into the right center gap and being called out.

Just got back from Nationals Park... it's sad that Red Sox fans just set a Nationals home attendance record tonight. But have to admit, the park sure is pretty when people show up to watch a game.
