PVD @ Exit "Review"/Trklist

Just got in like 30 minutes ago. It was an event to say the least. First the bad.. as always..exit sold way too many tickets let too many people in. If u went to tiesto last time he was there. it was 10x worse. Oh and WTF was up with the ac? Like it wasn't on AT ALL! haha any way. It nice def nice to finally meet mizz. Got to hang with richierich, sot, starfox, nrgetik, amit, & a whole bunch of other peepz. Sorry if i left anyone out. Well from what i remember here is what he played. My highlight of the night when i got pvd to sign my sony mrdv-700's

Pvd - Susan (or however u spellt it)
Solid sleep - Club attack (pvd mix)
m factor - mother (some remix)
tillman - on the run (ocean to shore remix)
martin eyerer - deep sea
some rapid eye trk i couldn't hear fox when he was telling me.

met some of u's last night, maybe 2 or 3. exit is bad, everytime i go back there i hate the place more. packed beyond belief and the crowd is just trash. their system blows, i was having trouble id ing songs that i had heard 23490823489 times before because the highs were distorting all the synths. pvd destroyed me, my first time hearing him. he made everything all right, grrrr ill write more after i sleep

i did not have a good night last night. but that aside, the only real problem was the number of people. i liked everyone i met; there just wasn't room for them all.

i don't want to go into the details of my night, but what did you think of his set? (if you could hear it, which i could not) I certaintly thought SF was better, how was it compared to Avalon?

Hey, I'm sorry you didn't have that fun of a time. I didn't go to the Exit show, but I had a really fun time at Avalon, and when I compare it to the SF show back in March, what you just said about the Exit show last night, it's funny because it pretty much decribes the time I had at the SF back in March heh (About crowded, etc) so I choose Avalon. Let's see what everyone else thinks when they get back

Well, for my first time seeing PVD, I must say he can throw down one hell of a set. Yes, the place was packed beyond belief but I was expecting that. What made the night more successful though was meetin up with all the TA's. mizz, temp, f0x, phazon, amit, yujie, s0t, rubyriva (sorry if i missed any) it was a pleasure enjoying the sounds with all of you. I did have one lowlight however, with NYC's finest after we had left the club. It turned out that I spent all my money on red bull and vodka and didnt have enough money left to get my car out of the parking garage. We were short 10 dollars. It turns out that as my friend and I were counting the money we had while walking back to the club, some undercover police had thought that we had made a drug transaction. When we got back to the club they threw us up against the wall and got searched. All that went through my head was that they were going to plant something on us. Well they found nothing of course, but the last thing they checked were my cigarettes in my front shirt pocket. I heard the words "OHHHHH what do we have here?!, What is this?" Knowing that I didnt have anything, I thought my assumption was correct and they planted something on us. So I turned around off the wall with my heart in my stomach and he says, "Marlboro lights". He apparently thought he was funny. "Sorry for the inconvienience guys you can go" he says. So I replied. "Now how about helpin us out with the 10 bucks funny man."
Frigen jerks. Its one thing making an honest mistake, but to add insult to injury showed that the guy just had no class. I was never so embarassed in my life. It didnt take away from the time I had in the club, but it was completly unnecessary. Next time I get one of those phone calls to donate money to my local police, I'm gunna tell him my story and then hang up on him.

^^^ from reading that I assume you were lucky richie? do they really do that? plant drugs on you to bust you? WTF!! what's the fucken use of that!!

2 all of you: sorry to hear the club was too loaded and the music wasn't really good
but i would crY if i could meet all u sweet TAs that alone would make the night unforgettable

How'd everyone like his little "Paul plays Paul" run? He dropped Words, Seven Ways, Forbidden Fruit (some new mix), and some of his older remixes from about 3 until 4... I thought it was great... oh, and why'd the balloons say Paul van Dyck?

i was actually in a good place at the tine he played those and enjoyed them thoroughly. they were a nice change.

yea omggg i loved when he dropped seven ways and words and that fuckin 2002 remix of foribidden fruit..holy shit that was good.

damn richie that really sucks about the cops and how u were short money and shit. at least they didnt actually set u up, that really would of sucked.

yeaaa he played a pvd rework of fucking society. it was like a dub version of the chromedioxide II mix with pvd bassline

PVD was great but Exits sucks with everything, the AC(where was it), too many asians(i have never seem so many asians in one place in my life before), it was like a sweatshop factory there, i couldnt move more than 1 centimeter without hitting someone or something, and lots of Hoes. His tracks was amazing. I heard lot of struff i like and i know but i couldnt ID it. I have a great time meeting all of u. I had a excellent time wiht NY1004. It felt good walking out in the rain after it, i never thought ice cold rain would be good. PVD was worth the trip from DC.

hey whats up everyone, just got home from chillin at my apt...sorry butterfly i wanted to meet you but it was so packed. i ran into amdmax and another TA but forgot his name. I walked around the front of the main stage for a while but no one spotted me so I just went back to the usual K-Korner(chinatown) then it got ridiculously packed and like all pvd's becomes unbearable. The feeling I got from last night was exactly what I expected, oversized, overpacked, half-knowledged party people. It's the PVD Touch with the Exit Feel. im glad I went, maybe we can all meet again some time. oh yea i didnt get in until like 11:30...was running late cuz I had to do alot of cooking!!!

the 1st dj sucks. he was boring and boringer. why did people there clap there hands and scream? I was looking around and asking whats goin on when they did that? Paul Van Dyck was awesome

... does anyone know what song he played near the end I think one or two before Second Sun's "The Spell"? It was very melodic... good stuff...

omfg...that set destoried all sets! exit wasnt bad. but the only problem i had...it was 2 like crowded. and i was sweating madd crazy. it was worst then a steam room. i think i lost like 10 pounds (just by sweating alone). just a good work out . btw that was the best pvd set every. i thought he was gonna spin another 2 hours. i am shocked he didnt drop for an angel. Tonmoy got his vinyl signed by pvd 2. i am glad 2 see fox, sot, ruby + her sisters, richie, art + his gf, bryan, mizz, butterfly, tonmoy, engima + plus his tall friend . i am sorry if i missed anyone...but it was great seeing you guys.

BTWLUIZ DIAZ SUCKS!!!

oh yeh...he also played cafe del marco, marco v -alanta, riva- sky is the limit

YOOoooOOOooo i went to both shows exit+avalon and although avalon is a much better venue the exit set was fucking AMASING..deep sea,words, m,on the run,circa forever,that bad ass remix of forbidden fruit,massive!!! that crazy jan johnston track i feel my or something like that is amasing...still kinda dazed will write more later...but it was nice meeting up with everyone arturo,caryn,amit,chris,rory,and everyone else! see ya next time btw EXIT SUCKS

I'd rate his set 7/10... Wasn't 2 impressed (just expressing my opinion).. He wasn't feelin' it..
Exit SUX.. they did not had AC on until like 4am... it was overly packed, and there was no water on 2nd floor bathrooms..
Closed the place. Edgar V was ok, but why would he throw house, build it up and out of nowhere put uplifting trance songs in the middle? Beats me...

I came in with 2 of my friends, but instead of dancing on the main floor we went straight for the white room. they were playing his set in every room I believe, but the system in the white room sucked. So an hour later i forced my friends to go on the main floor with me because I wanted to dance. Ye they complained its too crowded but I got them to go anyway. It was very crowded, but I knew we would find a great spot, and end up moving around. We danced for 3 hours straight without drinking any water. HAHA, I had some shots before then so I ended up getting dehydrated near the end of those 3 hours, and felt like I was going to pass out. Anyway each time I see PvD, now matter where it is, I say im having the best time of my life! I'm telling you, I danced my ass off!!
