Someone mentioned this the other day - thought it was a hoax, James Lavelle is a good DJ, a nice change of direction for GU (hip hop, breaks, deep house - VERY eclectic)

I think I'll buy this one for sure

Somehow I doubt it, but anything's possible...

Hip hop/breaks... I'll pass, but it IS GU, so it must be quality... *shrug*

I've listened to a bit more of Lavelle's CD n sets, and they're pretty sweet. I think it's good that he's the next DJ for GU. Cos right now, we're up to GU23 (22 really) and it's getting to the stage of "another GU album". It's good to mix it up with different DJ's and styles, keeps the idea behind Global Underground moving.

Ttracklist looks great,a nice blend of breaks,hiphop,prog and house.His E-Mix was off tha hook,let's hope this cd is just as good.It's also good that GU FINALLY lets somebody new mix a GUcd,and not just use the same prog-djs over and over again.Although I wouldn't mind having another Sasha-GU...

Kinda out dated i would have to say but not bad .... this will be a prog house set with a funky house kinda flavor with some breaks ...... kinda that gray area house progressive not the traditional progressive.... not bad just few tracks are out dated....highly doubt it will match GU22 ...which i thought was one of the best global undergrounds in ages.... especially cd1 pure masterpiece awsome programing.... but its gonna be more on the funkier tip this time similar to lawler style i believe

haha... ive heard some stories from some locals here when james leville came he got so fucked up he was just turning the decks off like too mix haha it was hilarious apparantly and he was like concentrating intensly and just turning one deck off (the on/off effect) and starting up the other one... no attempt to beatmatch or nothing... hahahaha respect!
hope he does the gu sober!
