Enjoy!
Goa is sometimes iffy for me, but because it's you I will listen as soon as I get home!
Cool picture btw!
So I listened, and I like Goa as an easy listening style of music, but it can often get boring as the melodies are rather repetitive. That being said, not focusing on the music is easy to do, and it can sometimes make you just drift off and float out. I thought most of your transitions were pretty solid simply because the nature of Goa makes it rather easy to transition without letting the listener focus on the mixing because Goa is always flowing with melodies.
Unfortunately I thought your last transition was a little strange, but I liked the song quite a bit, so it's okay! I liked a lot of the tracks, some were more psychedelic than others, and some had more epic synths than others, so it was very well balanced. Good work Mag!
Thanks for the review ziptnf. I dont agree much with your statement that goa is easy to mix, often the tracks are not very DJ friendly and dont have those extra beats (in this mix examples are The Fool, Spirit Complex, Pentagon, Mind Blowing). Last transition seemed ok for me, the last track itself is not mastered very well so that may be what caused to sound awkard to you. Anyway glad you liked it, especially having in mind that you are not a goa fan. Cheers!
Well, the transitions were partly not well beatmatched and in a few you had string clashs.
The first half is well structured and the tracks fit well together. But the second half sounds more wild/jumping from track to track and I miss a nice flow. My suggestion for the last transition would be a "kill switch transition" with track 9 ending at 57:49 and track 10 starting without intro directly at 58:19.
It's a nice set, but you have to work on the flow.
Yay! I'm all over this one!
will return with feedback later
I'm still in the process of picking my jaw up off the ground at how extremely awesome this mix is.
The track selection and BPM rate of this set is insanely good!
that Jikooha - Galaxy Journey track = Mega Awesome Tune!
i also loved all the merr0w tracks in this mix too. His born underwater album is pure ear candy.
on a scale of one to ten, i rate this mix a Platinum 10/10
Great job once again Mag! ; )

About the beatmatching. First example is already the the first transition going from 7:16 to 7:37. You mentioned the not perfectly mastered tracks and named track 2, but still you can hear the "ba-dam" instead of a "bam". From the sound of track 2 I can hear the fuzzy bass, but I rather would expect from a matched beat (in this case) to sound like "bram", not "ba-dam". Second one is transition 8->9, though it's not as bad as I had in mind. I guess it was just to late at night.
I myself am a vinyl addict and didn't really try Goa yet, mainly because I have neither CDJs nor Serato/Traktor Scratch. My years of mixing Trance and aiming for 2min long beatmatched transitions made me quite sensitve.
Regarding the last transition. Yes I hear those about 50s. But what I suggested was letting track 9 play until 57:49 and then throw in track 10 beginning with its first breakdown, while killing track 9. This way you avoid the disturbing melody and might have a high energy transition to keep up the pace. Since I can't tray myself, I have no idea if it really works.
But anyway I guess it needs quick hands.
very nice Magadansky - I logged in to TA just to say thanks and to be greedy and request more of these goa mixes - enjoyed your last goa mix and this one too - top stuff
