Quadrafuzz substitute

I loved this plugin but i now use sonar and logic and unfortunately it is not available. I wish steinberg would just sell the plugin.

tried all those

the problem is that they all try to sound like warm overdrive whereass quandrafuzz had this nasty digital quality that i loved for certain things.

Just saw this - is there some reason you can't use the actual QuadraFuzz VST in a wrapper?

do you mean the original dx version prior to cubase ?

The annoying part is that i actually purchased sx when it came out so i should be able to use that vst as i see fit but if i load it in sonar , it brings up one of those mssages, "you aren't using this plugin the way it should be".

Oh, that sucks, I figured you could just copy over the DLL.

Steinberg actually did make a standalone older version and it was VST in addition to DX. It's probably a little hard to find retail, although I found a link on MIDI classics, and of course there's always a pantload of rapidshare links which I won't post here.

See if you can pick that up somehow; if you can't find it, PM me, maybe I can. If you've already found it and tried it and it still doesn't work then I guess you're SOL.
