Crackling in Traktor Pro

Basically when I am recording or playing certain songs on my KRK RP8 Monitors that I bought about a week ago brand new, I experience a minor crackle like a tiny snap almost every 30 seconds to 2 minutes at random. I just noticed this today when recording my first mix and I heard this crackling actually being recorded into the wave file.

I have the Behringer DDM4000 as my mixer and nio 2|4 as my external soundcard, for windows I use another onboard soundcard. I am using Traktor Scratch PRO and using 2 of my mixers channels to mix and the rest as a midi controllers to substitute for the absence of CDJs or turntables.

I have only tried maxing the sound at the back of my KRK RP8 monitors once and almost never clipped it into red even when running them at 0db not (+6db) at the back which is the max.

So what I am trying to figure out is if this cracklings sound comes from my monitors or from software, or dj mixer or soundcard latency maybe.

I tried switching it from what i had it at 3-4ms to 6-7 still does it maybe. It has been happening for a while and I am trying to figure out the problem. It happens when I am recording or just playing the track in Traktor. Usually only with the quieter intro tracks.

On the side note since the tape out is whats being recorded into the soundcard and the XLR's are connecting the monitors I don't see how the problem would be in my monitors since they aren't the source of the recording but the crackling is being recorded into my mixes.

I have this happen too. My cdjs have been in the shop thus forced into Traktor useage. It happens what seems to be only in quieter breakdowns. I haven't figured out whats causing it or how to stop it...

I think I have found out what the problem for me is at least.

When both the Gains on my mixer are at 0db and both the tunes are pretty heavy in high hats, it crackles, if I turn down the gain for the incoming tune or just play at maybe -0.5db gain it seems fine.

Happened to me and I boosted the lat, worked fine after.
