Anyone care to share their experience in GOA?
I'm looking to make the trip there. Is the scene still alive and popping?
I'm looking to visit Anjuna Beach - where else should I go?

go! go man, the west coast of India was the best times in my life to this point.
drop acid in an isolated beach in the south of goa, theres really no better place in the world for this. I went during offseason so we got places for 4 dollars a night, and rented mopeds for 5 dollars a day. We wanted to avoid too much chaos, but still manage to hit a few raves of psytrance on the beach.
I have a bunch of pictures for my trip maybe i can upload a few of them later(specifically of anjuna) if you're still interested.
Ive come to the conclusion that my "heaven" would be that 3 weeks of my life on loop(and i get memory erased everytime-then repeat!) I went with right travelmate though, and at a point in life that was completely stress free. i started in mombai, ended up in the south tip of india, then flew back from bangalore to bombay-so i spent about 5 days near anjuna, and a day in the capital Panaji.

That's what WMC needs!...some good GOA style parties. Psy is sadly ignored for some reason

Just an FYI Goa and Psy are very different. One is very mechanical and the other is very organic.

Moss, I couldn't find any good rave photos, but did find some day pics in the Anjuna area

Allied Nations, i know its a shot in the dark but can you i.d. this place(where i stayed)- i cant for the life of me remember what it was called. Its in the Anjuna back areas.

rockin our locally purchased paper thin shirts that were great for the moped rides in the heat

One thing i missed most was getting around everywhere on mopeds, there are alot of great drives that are just epic. You just spend the entire day driving from beach to beach. Man-I wish I could work it out to live 6 months of my life in Goa every year, just like some of the old skool hippies do

That seems like the ultimate for a completely stress free experience. I'm sure the beaches are just littered with DJ's and parties, listening to awesome psytrance and goa through the late hours of night to the morning. I wish I could go, that would be so awesome.

in 1997, whenI first visited Goa, the rave culture was at its heights, with all-night beach parties striking at full moon, and Goan Trance music blasting out into the Indian ocean and the rest of the universe....Rave parties on the beach extended until sunrise, punctuated by the odd police helicopter passing over, pointing floodlights at us in clear warning that insufficient bribes had been paid....
In return, the crowd would aim their lasers at the helicopters, projecting little red hearts all over it.....
Although using one's brain appeared to be discouraged in this peculiar environment, I must say that mine worked better than ever.
From a faraway sound system, I could hear the rave cliche song broadcast in an electronic voice: "When you dream there are no rules, anything can happen, people can fly." As I relaxed, a few VSL breakthroughs suddenly came to me.
