Breaks
Is it just me or is there not much talk about breaks around here?
I'm currently listening to this and I'm wondering am I the only breaks fan around here?
DuBam, I'm still waiting for that surprise set, hope it's some wicked breaks.
There's a "What happened to prog breaks" thread on the second page. The trouble is that breaks aren't fashionable anymore, which is a fucking travesty if you ask me. I really enjoy mixing and listening to breaks.
fucking love breaks
I'm mainly into breaks atm...I have a bunch of mixes, but I hardly post them here since it's mostly house and trance fans on this site
id love some recomandations on some breaks/dnb albums which arent too weird. something from this year, last year and 2007.
Yeah, check out the thread System-J was talking about.
There's some great tracks in there.
I had to mix a Nu Skool breaks set for the genre competition and it really sparked my interest in mixing and listening to the stuff. I think it's underappreciated.

this was abit too extreme for me, speedbreakscore somehow. sure it got alot of good elements but in general im not sure, its too somewhat full-on i think. nice to hear something fresh though.

| Originally posted by SYSTEM-J I'm not talking about a genre when I say "breaks". I'm talking about beats. I've always thought it wrong that everything with a breakbeat gets marginalised to one catch-all "breaks" category. You take a total trance record and put a break under it and suddenly it's not trance, it's breaks. That's bullshit. Dance music owes hip-hop at least as much as any other genre, and breakbeats should not be marginalised in this way. |

Looking for a new Flipmode, eh?
So much I could recommend but I'm afraid it's all a bit older, although there are still some seriously good producers around (i.e. Coombs, Soul Of Man and the whole Fingerlickin' crew.), breaks just aren't the same as they were somewhere around 2000-2004
