Sold my mixer, looking to buy a Pioneer 800 [Recommendations?]
sold my old rane mp44, and looking to buy a pioneer800. Looking to learn how to use the effects. Anyone know where to buy one at a resonable price?
my budject is around 800 to 1K
You probably should have held onto your Rane until you found a DJM800 in your price range. You're gonna be hard-pressed to find even a used one under $1200.

Try getting an ecler evo4? Look on ebay though, theres real good deals on ebay . Pio's are high priced because everyones looking for them. Other companies like a&h and ecler are overlooked because most clubs use the 800 and thats what most people want. The 800 is cool, but not worth the price IMO.

| Originally posted by progressiveMOJO i read the OP. my recommendation is STILL get something by A&H. then buy a separate effects processor if you want one. this is how you get both a better mixer and a better effects processor, and as a bonus the effects are now portable in case you want to take them with you to a show. |

Looking for a DJM 800 as well.. Don't talk me out of it, I'm picky. ;]
actually more importantly, I'm looking to make/buy a stand to put it all on!! Looking for something thats not wooden for $150 or less. Anyone want to help me build one? LOL.

Was it custom? Or do you know what kind? I saw some that I like, but a bit pricey. I want to see if i can do something for cheap.
dont think its custom, esp nothing like yapas. forgot the brand though and hes had it for awhile, probably a year and half now.
I just need something really simple and small with open space underneath. Not enough room to fit even a table.
I just upgraded to a DJM-700 from my 600 a few weeks ago. I'd been debated between the 700 and 800, but on balance, I think the 700 gives you more bang for your buck. The manual filter is also a nice extra you don't get on the 800.
BTW, if anyone's in the market for a DJM-600 in excellent condition, I'll let it go to a fellow TA for $500.
