Maybe I'm late to the game, but I didn't see a thread on this around here...anyhow, these are voted by the DJs themselves, and while there's no way to honestly do a top 100 list of this type, it sure is more fair than the DJ poll...

Congrats to all of the clubs. And nice to see 1015 pop in there!

Anyhow,

23. Beta (Denver) - #1 US Club on the list. THE CLUB I want to attend. I have heard amazing things about this place.
25. Ruby Skye (San Francisco) - #2 US Club. Go Spundae!
40. Avalon (LA/Hollywood) - #5 US Club. Go Spundae!
53. Vanguard (LA/Hollywood) - #6 US Club
64. Vinyl (Denver) #8 US Club
85. 1015 Folsom (San Francisco) - #9 US Club. Go Taj!

I would suggest #12, the guvernment, which is the top ranked north american club, I have been there atleast a dozen times....

I did not know Vinyl was on that list; I saw Beta on there, though. Denver definitely surprised me for electronic music. When I moved there I thought it would be nothing but snow and mountains (was wrong).

More or less spent my time living in Beta and Vinyl.

I want to check Government out too...THat said, I've had more than a couple peoplen tell me that Beta is the best club they've ever been in....and I'm pretty sure a couple of them have been to Guvernment.

also from miami, i have to say that ice palace is awesome!

mansion is too much like ruby skye but much worse, bigger and terrible sound. i hated that place so much... at least digweed played that kalkbrenner track which made the night worth it.

nikki beach was nice, just wish the beach area had good music. i kept going back inside area cause audiofly & whoever else threw it had an awesome line up! heidi <3

i missed out on space, nocturnal and others...

Imma guess Mansion, Space, Jet, Ruby Skye and Circus.

I know Pawn Shop in Miami used to be #1 in US, but that place went bye bye.

was considering checking it out until i read after hours 2am - 5am, living in vegas i dont even usually go out until 4am , the guv is open until 10:30 ish sunday morning and then comfort zone is open til 4am monday

I wonder what venue DJ Luxor voted as #1...

Beta can be the best club in the US, but if they dont bring in top level talent(which they do) then who cares how great the club is.

That's why I said there's no foolproof way to do a list like this...but it can't be overly manipulated like other polls that rely on fans voting and DJs advertising, doing PR, etc to get themselves voted....

Not sure why Beta is ranked so high. It really isnt all that. Sure there is Funktion One sound but not in the main room. Its in the lounge. Overall the club is very standard. Many locals aren't a fan of it much so not sure what the deal is. Beatport having pull with djamg maybe.

Interesting. Amazing how much I sometimes take for granted even here in the la/oc area with both Avalon & Vanguard decently high on the US portion of the list.

I dunno man. I know 6-8 people (off the top of my head) who have been in Denver for one reason or another (usually business trips) and stopped by BETA and come away very impressed..and 2 or 3 of those have been to the best clubs and events all over the world.

That said, I haven't gone into great detailw ith any of them over why they liked it...just that they loved it overall. But, if anyone is gonna be jaded towards a club, it's gonna be locals. Which is understandable.

Hmm, if we're talking about space and not actual music content, I definitely prefer Vanguard's layout versus Avalon. I just think it's weird to have those stairs right next to the dancefloor. The stadium seating that Avalon has up top are pretty cool though. Gives it more of a concert feel.

Guvernment is by far the best club in north america...been there prolly 75+ times being that i only live an hour and 15 min from toronto...something every EDM fan must witness...place is mindblowing!!!

You are joking right? There IS a Funktion One system in the main room as well as in the lounge. If you can't see it, it's the big four stack speakers on each corner of the dance floor. Never heard anyone ever complain about Beta here locally unless they're from Polygamy Productions... I guess to them holding a weekly residency at The Palladium makes that shit hole a better place than Beta....

If this isn't an F1 system then what is it?...
