Inspirational Productions and Why

I'm very interested in hearing some great music that inspires you, new works that have something about them that helps push the scene forward. And don't forget to say what it is about about rather than bang a list down no-one cares about.

Estiva - Les Fleurs

This a slow stripped back track with a great melody to focus on that leads it through with minimal studio trickery to hold your interest.

Arctic Quest - Love is a Bird

A tech/prog builder with a lovely soft drum pounding, great atmospheric riff and a nice twist to drop in.

Lavkastor - Ssab

Big 'old skool' melody in another builder, arranged in the standard build / drop format but somehow sounds very different and non-predictable. Combined styles.

Tyler Michaud - Numb Crimson Dream

Awesome club banger, great sounds and crazy arrangement. Drop this tech trancer while playing out to switch the style "up-side-tha-headz" (c)

ok i will start with vincent de more fly away. such a great riff that from start to end sucks you in.

Mirco De Govia - Vital Spark man what a great producer so when i first started hearing these types of tracks left me wondering how he made them so good.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJZwbe9EYR8

and lolo elemental so simple and melodic he make some good tunes to. i know i never gave a great details to why i posted these up because the songs are so good just listen.

Sasha & BT - Heart of Imagination

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7znNAvPvBY

Two of the greats putting together an amazing track. The musicianship on this work are still largely unrivaled today. This is one of those tracks you listen to and just go "they don't make 'em like that anymore".

Sunday Club - Eterna's Flight

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaIUs3ry0Eg

This track has an amazing arrangement. I used to call this "advanced techno" back in the day, because none of my other tracks had such an amazing arrangement and use of melody.

BT - Embracing the Sunshine (enbracing the future mix)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2T8AjRixDU

Another amazing arrangement from BT. Obviously this type of stuff almost never gets made nowadays.

Wild Colour - Dreams (bt circadian dreams mix)

This track had some of the most amazing piano work I have ever heard in a dance track, along with the absolutely classic vocal.

First track on my Perfecto Mix (Youtube wont let me post it).

I'll have more later once I think about it some more.

Guiseppe Ottaviani - White Lady

Infected Mushroom - Vicious Delicious

Talking about inspirational tracks, this has the most uplifting build-up ever (4:00 - 5:50).

Airbase - Theme From The Rock

What's NOT great about this? Melodic trance at its best.

As of ten minutes ago:

Babicz: Purple Dance
Blow Dark Flower, this is Babicz at his best. Incredibly well produced, its got a great intimate feeling but still manages to be incredibly epic. But it doesn't draw attention to itself, it just grooves along entrancing people. Suits house parties at 7 am or dancefloors at 10 PM or 2 AM. One of my favourite tracks last year.

Nacho Marco: Wench (francois dubois remix)
Really tightly produced track. Its very minimal with no unnecessary elements at all. Its a great filler track which gets under your skin and becomes something so much more.

Underworld: Long Dark Train
Old but still sounds like it was made yesterday. It always makes me dance around the place and is still really well engineered. Really well paced, the arrangement carries you along throughout the whole 10 minutes.

Chicane: The whole of Behind the Sun
This album can be listened to at any point of your life, no matter how you feel at the time or what you're doing. On the beach, in a club, having sex, breaking up, dancing, sleeping, anything.

joris Voorn: Blank
One of the tracks that significantly changed the musical direction I was heading in. It proved (in the context of a DJ mix) that you can make tech house emotive and uplifting. It doesn't all have to be relentless dancefloor smashing stuff. Really brought the techier sounds and the trancier sounds back together the way they should be IMO.

Same goes for the first album "Far From The Maddening Crowds". I'm a big fan of Chicane .

I cannot believe this track is actually 15 years old, it sounds great.

Yeah, I probably annoy people with the way I go on about a guy who lost the plot after 2004, but he really was one of the main influences in getting me into electronic music.

I know, I still play it when I'm djing. Its just one of those crazy good tracks

Music in general inspires me, but nothing consciously at the moment. I mean there are countless pieces of music that I love, that have marinated within me. I see myself growing as an artist...from the starting point of being inspired to make music by enjoying other people's music/art...to the point of making music to express what is in my own head/soul. So these days life and every facet of it inspire me to make music.

Element Four - Big Brother / Element Four (12" Mix)

Produced by Paul Oakenfold & Andy Gray, for the UK Big Brother show in 2000.
It is the most original and greatest trance track of all times in my opinion, there is simply no track similar to this.
This is a one of a kind and gives me goosebumps on every listen, hypnotic leads, trancy elements, fantastic atmosphere and never heard before sounds going together.

Bubble Fish- Stars Of ibiza(Sean Tyas Remix)

For me this is one of the extremely few tracks that has ever really made me feel incredibly happy and optimistic after listening. I love being able to feel good and accomplished after i listen to a song, i love being uplifted by tracks like this no matter how bad i am feeling. Some will go and say, but it's Sean Tyas, but i really think people don't give him enough credit. For me this is the ultimate track, i got the pleasure of playing it live twice and each time it was the most well received track that i played.

Paul Miller & Solar Energy - Nu Side (Original Mix)

For one reason or another this song just left me speechless, and the break brought a near tear to my eye. It is really too bad that this track flew so far under the radar that it barely got any attention, and its such a pity because its so uplifting and at the same time such a floor destroyer. I used it as my intro track once after a proggy DJ was spinning and it really blew people away to say the least.

You're very welcome. I'm glad that someone agrees with me. Usually people don't like SP. I honestly didn't think anyone here would for some reason. Dudes are genius.
