The humble a1 synth

Just thought i'd give the old cubase a1 a heads up as It really is once you get to grips with it a nice sounding bass intrument. I hadnt used it a lot untill recently but its capable of some nice sounds.

Or my out-board gear ...

Or my latency inducing VSTs (it has no automatic latency correction) ...

You should really start getting informed, if you read anything on this forum.. its that latency does not matter.

the more latency the better sound as I understood it

Yep. The sheer increase of quality is just remarkable.

+1000.

I don't know why this didn't come up in the bit depth thread either. Latency increases bit depth too.

I always record with a five minute latency to achieve 24,000,234,051 bit resolutions. Three minutes of audio pretty much takes up my entire hard-drive

you see that's what i'm trying to aim for but for the life of me i cannot do it.

a1 doesn't even exist in my version of Cubase (5.0).

you got some new synths to replace it though no?

Posted by Raphie on Apr-24-2009 22:13:

it's in the older version pack on the CD

I still use it quite a lot.
A1 with Cubase FX beats V-Station when programmed well
A1 was coded by Waldorf
